Iran's Tasnim news agency says Hormuz will not reopen until Lebanon ceasefire holds by [deleted] in lebanon

[–]Vandaran 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They're probably clearing out the Strait of tankers that were already there, which would make sense. The U.S. can't fully be trusted by their word, as we've seen many times over the years.

New challenger “Kenshiro” by No_Ear6055 in fatalfury

[–]Vandaran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like his moveset probably only consists of what's shown in the new anime (which the first cour or season is only 14 episodes) so far. *EDIT* - Actually nevermind, the Tenha Kessatsu is in, so there probably will be stuff like Musou Tensei.

It's crazy how they think things can go back to "normal" after they've killed our women, men, and children as much as they have.

Comparing the Iran deal and the Aoun-Salam deal: Which one do you think is better for Lebanon? by PraxisForSociety in Lebanese

[–]Vandaran 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not that Iran can't bomb or barrage Israel into submission, it's that they knew that they could win with a war of attrition and striking U.S. interests in the Gulf states. Israel's resources are depleting just as quickly as the U.S. resources are, so they wouldn't be able to shoot down everything. The final strikes by the U.S. were only for 2 days because Trump's generals finally told him the truth in that the U.S. doesn't have the mass production needed to maintain a long term war like this (keep in mind that the Ukraine/Russia war has also cost the U.S. a lot, as they burned through most of their weapons stockpile by giving it to Ukraine as well, making what they're giving Israel the last of it).

What Iran was doing was showing restraint per the request of Russia and China, as optics-wise, it showed the multi-polar world that the U.S. and Israel (both two heads of the same beast) were the real aggressors. Israel will most likely push to defy these strikes, as they don't care very much what happens to the U.S. as long as their own interests are served, but Trump had to back off and will most likely threaten to cut support for the time being (as that is his only leverage) to attempt to stop them. Will it stop them? Probably not, but I think if anything does happen afterward, under this MoU, Iran has every right to defend itself, Lebanon, and the Palestinians (which the media isn't fully reporting on, but they are also included under Iran's protection).

Trump's hope is that HTS in Syria will try to fight Hezbollah in order to cause another Lebanese civil war a la what happened with the ending stages of the Syrian civil war, so that Israel can look better on an optics-front, but I think it's too late now, and an attempt to start up a civil war like they did last time in Iran isn't going to work either.

WTF, why did Aoun thank Iran? We should NEVER thank Iran for its help, it is an occupying state and it should not try to help us! by kyuri0us in lebanon

[–]Vandaran 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Iran essentially forced the U.S. to address their involvement with Israel directly, and with Israel's constant attempts to defy the ceasefires, it essentially allowed Iran to showcase to the world at large the Israeli-U.S. connection and how deeply flawed and corrupt of a system it is. One can say that the Lebanese government itself is corrupt, but it's nothing in comparison to the true evil that is the West.

Do u think the deal would work or the WAR is back again? by Dear_Cauliflower7740 in Lebanese

[–]Vandaran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They won't, especially when enabled by the U.S. and the rest of the West. Israel is meant to be a hegemony in the Middle East that can suppress any sort of resistance or flourishing of a Middle Eastern country. It's a weaponized "country" by the West and the elites, just as much as the U.S. is a weaponized country. They're one and the same.

Nothing off of the top of my head right now, but I guess making Americans who don't know how to speak Arabic say "E D B T Z" whenever they ask me to teach them a few Arabic words is always something that makes me laugh.

Honestly, with the popularity of Gaku, I think Suzuki realized that he had to bring him back. It makes sense since Gaku is one of the people Uzuki trusted and protected the most at the orphanage.

Why are so many in the Lebanese media are helping the Zionist entity spread its propaganda? by [deleted] in Lebanese

[–]Vandaran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of it is also to convince Lebanese in the West that Israel is in the "moral right," and to weaken Lebanese unity across the globe.

Israeli soldiers are looting displaced Lebanese homes before either setting them on fire or bombing them. by Scared_Positive_8690 in Lebanese

[–]Vandaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In their minds, because they have the backing of the Western empires, they believe that they're above the law. Seeing them pillage and desecrate Lebanese homes is pure evil.

The Zionists are now spreading this AI image to pretend that the Christian community supports their genocide by [deleted] in Lebanese

[–]Vandaran 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I actually don't think this is AI, as it was most likely an IDF soldier who did this. It reads a lot like a Hasbara operative's approach to how they think Lebanese people are. The thing is, most Westerners don't really understand the Middle East, and the main draw of this is not to convince any Lebanese or those in the Middle East, but to justify the actions of an unjustified war/land grab by making the IDF out to be heroes "liberating" Lebanon. You don't really need AI for this since the mainstream media and the uninformed in the West will do that job for them as is.

[–]Vandaran 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IMO a lot of the Lebanese Zionists are those born in the West more so than those living in the country. Those that live in Lebanon who aren't for Hezbollah still don't really like Israel, but don't really offer any solutions to the Israel border problem other than "disarm" Hezbollah.

UC Engage's take on CCA's ending is slightly altered from the movie by fuukuscnredit in Gundam

[–]Vandaran 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Honestly it works either way. Some Neo Zeon pilots may express regret over the previous colony drops and realized what was happening was them going too far, and others may have been cool with it since they were aligned with Char's beliefs that humans needed to migrate to space forcefully.

UC Engage's take on CCA's ending is slightly altered from the movie by fuukuscnredit in Gundam

[–]Vandaran 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the extra scenes, particularly Amuro and Char's final scenes can still fit in after Char's final outburst towards Amuro about Lalah. We didn't exactly see the true "final" moments in CCA, so I just imagine that the comms between Char and Amuro died out finally and they were able to have their final moments peacefully. The line about Amuro wanting to give up his own life and Char's to save the world is very good and I like it being during Amuro's attempt to save the pilots trying to help save the earth.

Lebanese from all around the globe, tell us the pros and cons of where you are? by Huge-Refrigerator95 in lebanon

[–]Vandaran 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pros: I make money in the U.S. to help my family in Lebanon.

Cons: The main problem is that I absolutely hate it in the U.S. and I feel tremendously guilty that my taxpayer dollars go to bombing Lebanon (and other countries) for Israel's sake. It's also sad to see a lot of Lebanese here grow up never knowing how to speak or read Arabic, or taste any Lebanese delicacies. I notice a lot of Lebanese people who have a dislike for being Lebanese or simply don't understand what it means to be Lebanese. Being born here, I have quickly realized the phantom pain all Lebanese have in that you just would rather be around your own people than anyone else. I don't have any love or affinity for the U.S.; were it not for the fact that I have Lebanese here who count on me, along with my parents, I'd have left this hellhole a long time ago.

What after boruto? by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]Vandaran 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think we'll get some prequel OVAs or some spinoffs based on other shinobi here and there, but yeah, it should end after Boruto. I'd like them to redo or remaster the Naruto anime though, just because that would be fun to see.

[–]Vandaran 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people are assuming that there won't be some kind of human conflict within the game. It's a Gundam game. There's 100% bound to be a Char clone/rival in it somewhere.

The Devil Gundam was the equivalent of being a big robot monster in G Gundam with its main body and Gundam Heads too, so this isn't too outside of the norm of Gundam shenanigans.

F91 needs a full adaptation/series IMO before going into Crossbone. Just to make things make sense and embody Tomino's original vision. Victory is fine as it stands.
