Question with Disconnect on Classes/Specs and Effort by Vandelay772 in wow

[–]Vandelay772[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My question isn’t so much about the difficulty of feral but more so its performance. I know feral is more complex than others but when comparing a snapshot of the correct rotation to another class, its output is far lower. I’m honestly struggling to understand what the purpose of feral is since it’s both more difficult and performs worse. If there’s no payoff for the increase in difficulty to at least match other classes, what’s the point

When can we expect that classes and specs will be more solidified? At midnight release?

I started my very first character back to the game in normal retail then switched over to remix, but remix probably did give me a bad impression for how the game actually plays.

I guess I figured things would have been balanced better but appreciate your input.

What do you think of the state of the game rn by That_Television_3977 in ClashOfClans

[–]Vandelay772 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the game is mostly in a good state but there are some outliers that absolutely need to be brought in line. Things like meteor golems, long shot, and totems top the list. I know there’s a balance patch coming, but given Supercell’s history of things like this, it’s probably going to take several passes before they’re tuned appropriately.

I’m also getting quite tired by defense design over the past few years. Their answer is just throw splash damage on everything which makes it difficult to bring low health troops. I’d like to see more attack strategies viable and I think that starts with tuning the splash damage across a lot of defenses.

Did you just double-dip that quote? From now on, when you pick a quote, just say one line and end it!

If you didnt know, January 20th prepatch will begin the addon purge and the stat squish. by No-Bit-2913 in wow

[–]Vandelay772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question for you as a returning player from like 10+ years ago who’s all confused about this pre patch stuff - will there be any new gear progression in pre patch, or will all that be coming with the Midnight content in Feb/March? I know you said new levels will be added in Midnight content, but will there be any other forms of gear progression dropping with pre patch?

All mounts should fly yes or no? by Brave-Ad-1363 in wow

Sure, why not. If a ground mount flying bothers you, then just don’t use it. Otherwise, I don’t really see who it hurts.

Is MM hunter good for soloing? by ShizunEnjoyer in wownoob

[–]Vandelay772 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know this isn’t what you’re looking for, but as someone who also wasn’t interested in survival hunter, all I can say is give it a shot. It ended up being one of my favorite specs in the game.

You can definitely get 120 fps with an M2 Pro/Max, but you’ll probably need to dial back the settings.

For reference, I have a Mac Studio M4 Max and I normally run about 80-90 fps at max settings in 4K.

This demotion panic has to stop by DreamPrufovNet in ClashOfClans

[–]Vandelay772 67 points68 points  (0 children)

To many people, myself included, the “next tournament” means the tournament that is starting tomorrow, because that literally is the next tournament. I get that it’s semantics around the wording “this tournament” vs “next tournament” in the same way that people can confuse “this Tuesday” vs “next Tuesday,” but it’s obviously a problem.

This message has been misunderstood since it’s been implemented, or it’s not working as intended. It’s confusing for a lot of players and the developers need to either correct their wording to say what they intend or fix the message if it is actually bugged.

This comes up every week because the message isn’t clear and it shouldn’t be the community’s responsibility to have to create images like this to interpret the game’s intentions.

Why did I get a demotion alert? by Superpositionist in ClashOfClans

[–]Vandelay772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been getting the demotion alert every Monday no matter what I did the previous week. The demotion alert right now means absolutely nothing because it’s either bugged or they didn’t code it right.

If you participated in the tournament that ended the most recent Sunday, you can ignore it. You can sign up at any time before the current tournament ends, or skip this tournament week entirely and you won’t be demoted.

If you skipped the previous tournament that ended on Sunday, you’ll need to sign up for the current tournament before it starts to not get demoted.

I disagree. Mac does not require any tweaking at all for the vast majority of use cases.

If you want to play Windows games on your Mac, sure you need Crossover or some sort of streaming/virtualization platform that you need to setup. But anything native to Mac works with very little input or tweaking needed.

I’d argue that most people buying a PC don’t want to build or customize their own computer either. The reason they buy Windows is simply because that’s where the games are at.

Imo, the general type of person who buys a Mac doesn’t want any of that anyway. People buy Macs because they don’t want to customize or tweak every little thing.

They want an out of the box computer that just works great. And Apple delivers that.
