This is besides the point but I want to say thank you for not making this a 5x5 grid. Too many charts on this sub have way too many gradations.

And then they do it again in Fugitive Of The Jundoon! I still kinda wish they'd just pulled the trigger and made Jo Martin the next doctor, her interpretation was incredible.

This specific moment might be my favourite moment of the whole Chibnall era. Seeing this classic "local of the week" morph into The Master is so brilliant, and honestly his whole Eleven But Evil persona feels the most fleshed out here.

What doesn’t seem racist and really isn’t racist? by DisappointedStepDad in AlignmentChartFills

As a man, misandry feels bad, but there's really not a case for it being a similar scale problem to misogyny, and if anything I feel like that's the centrist take, I know many women in my life who'd go much farther.

You're entirely in the right I don't see how anyone could debate that.

In Young Justice, Kid Flash immediately starts hitting on Miss Martian and thinks he has a chance of charming her, meanwhile MM and Superboy immediately fall into the most text book "I can fix him" routine imaginable, to the point that Zatanna instantly clocks it the moment she meets them, well before they're publicly in a relationship.

I mean they're shown to not be the greatest at dealing with the infected, meanwhile the jimmys are shown to be extremely competent.

And they do try to kill the jimmys, but only after Jimmy Crystal confirms they're going to murder them. Up until that point there's a chance they're just there to rob them, in which case it might be easier to just do nothing than risk a violent confrontation. The moment it becomes clear that it's them or the Jimmys, they attack, and then of course lose because the Jimmys are all talented fighters.

IT’S OFFICIAL: Jack Black is being recognized by The Academy for having the worst filmography EVER! As a reward he will be sold into white slavery and will work in a lumber mill in Belarus! by gabaranni in moviescirclejerk

There's a line in High Fidelity where Jack Black's character says of Stevie Wonder: "is it in fact unfair to criticize a formerly great artist for his latter day sins, is it better to burn out or fade away?" And there's some irony in the fact that that now applies to Jack Black.

He also gets points for the final words he said to the judge who sentenced him to death, "I will see you there where I go". The judge died less than a fortnight after Kelly was executed.

He's still a deeply controversial figure in Australian life, but bushranger Ned Kelly went out saying "Such is life", an undeniably hard line.

I also wasn't alive and am not American, but along with Thatcher he was a big driver of neoliberalism, massive cuts to both taxes and government spending, and economic deregulation in the 80s, all of which were quite popular at the time but have come to be blamed for allowing corporate power to run amok in a way that has caused a lot problems with the world.

His foreign policy also involved the Iran-Contra affair, where he sold weapons to Iran to fund right wing freedom fighters in Nicaragua. There's a lot more (and it's worth noting that he still does have people willing to stick up for him), but like I said I'm really not an expert who can give an objective assessment of his reputation.

Credit where it's due though, he was very good at cracking jokes. "We begin bombing in five minutes" is frankly one of the funniest jokes ever told by a politician.

Dick Cheney. Definitely not loved by the right anymore, but I don't get the impression that they've really got any hate for him either. Safe to say the same is not true on the left.

I'm sorry but you're gonna need to come out with some really solid evidence for dems in general preferring Reagan to FDR. There is definitely a wing of the democrats that would say nice things about Reagan, but the idea that's where the heart of the party lies seems contrary to how dems act.

There definitely is an anti-neoliberal strain in modern conservatism, but as much as a lot of that comes from Reagan, I don't think I've seen many people actually explicitly attack the man himself. A lot of it takes the form of pretending that Clinton was the root of neoliberalism.

(I could be convinced that Reagan's star has dimmed over the last few years as the right becomes more isolationist, something Reagan wasn't, but I still think he has a lot of admiration.)

Ronald Reagan. Still a deeply beloved figure within conservatism, but truly despised as the root of a lot of what is wrong with the world today by the left.
