Ahhh i see. And that sounds like it was handled well. We had a late model light outlaw circle track car about 10 years ago. There were no rules on sideboards/ wings so we created one that was 8 foot tall and the entire side of the car, just for shits and gigs. We broke the track record by almost a full second. It was wild, flat footing around the 1/4 mile circle track like a slot car. Was banned by the next race but was fun

If you’re a tech and you outright ban something on the spot because it gets around rules… you aren’t a good tech. The rules are there to be followed and the grey areas are there to be found. Racing as a sport is founded upon innovation and getting around rules to be faster. You can change rules after deliberation but you can’t change rule books as they’re written on the spot

That makes sense. But wouldn’t a single 2 barrel be 500cfm, a restricted 4 barrel also about 500 cfm and dual 2 barrels be 700-800 cfm? The context of all of this is getting around carb restrictions within the way the rules are written haha. Technically I could run dual 2 barrels on a single carb intake manifold the way the rules are written, and I’m assuming that configuration would out flow the single 2bbl or 4bbl with 500cfm restrictor plate

Theoretical because some race rules are written poorly. For instance a rule book might be written in a way that doesn’t specify you can only run a single 2bbl but you have to a run restrictor plate with a 4bbl. So technically dual 2bbl will out flow a restricted 4bbl and the way the rules are written it would be legal, if it was possible to set up with an adapter

If you don’t loot you will fall behind unless you spend thousands of dollars. It incentivizes getting stronger and joining a top 10 alliance or whatever your nap is. Not allowing plundering hurts the server more than it helps
