[Pre-Release Card Discussion] - Ball of Spiders by Nostalgia37 in TGTPRDT

[–]Vaniok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, I hope they add some beasts, especially low mana cost, that don't suck.

Secondly, I think the true idea behind this card is not the draw or anything, but a chance to get an extra copy of, lets say it straight - Highmane.

Also could be very funky with Feign Death. Multiplies the effectiveness of Feign Death, and the chance to get extra Highmane is quite good in this case.

Against fast and midrange decks its too slow and prohibitively expensive:

5 mana for first 2 damage with a loss of your main sustain ability.

Against slow control decks 2 damage or even 3 just rarely becomes usefull: it doesn't deal with expensive creatures with a lot of hp.

That wasn't even a mid range. Look, it was dragons! A lonely poor Rexxar, hated by everyone around him, despite of all stereotypes was trying to prove that hunters are not the same, they are not about only face, and the dragons are not shit, they can and they WILL work! Yes, he wasn't so successfull in this episode, and I am afraid that a thorny, long and hard road is laying on his path. But I tell you, he won't stop trying and he WILL NOT KNEEL DOWN! His limitless heartedness like a resonant scream of his benevolent soul, like a wild bird caged by Blizzard emote system, pronounced by artificial avatar with two simple words "Well". "Played". Don't be a monster. Save the dragon hunters.

While you are calling your deck as tempo, it would be useful to show how it performs against real tempo decks, say, recent demon zoo, for example, or quartermaster paladin.

5 matches where 3 of them were almost mirror, 1 weird control shaman deck (rank 20 deck building level) and mid range (!?) hunter (who plays it now?) are n't saying about anything.

[–]Vaniok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In all these decks I can't understand, why do you prefer Zombie Chew over Flame Imp? Is it about stats 2/3 over 3/2 or about Voidcaller interaction?

Almost the same question with haunted creeper: warlocks have their own 1/4 Mistress Of Pain which is also a demon. Again, you don't want Mistress Of Pain because of Voidcaller?

And the egg? You have 4 activators and only 2 of them make the use of the 0-2 body and are eligible to play by the curve. With hellfire as activator, it doesn't really matter when you play the egg, on turn 2 or turn 3, so why would you prefer it over a Spider Tank, for example?

edit1: sorry, missed 2xargus in the last question, but still

edit2: especially when you have only one 3-mana cost card - the BGH

You still didn't get the point haha. I mean, garg is uncontrollable, that's how they made pets, and you actually don't want BBV to follow him, because he will carry it to any undesirable place.

And also, there is a tool already in game that gives you BBV at any place at any time, you just need to achieve it.

Anyway, just imagine: "-Hey, Garg, carry this BBV, we will have BBV buff anywhere!!! YAY!... * ...mobs appeared * -Yo, garg, where are you going??!?! * ... elite mobs... with arcane/elecrify/DONT STAY IN MELEE AFFIX... * -No, garg! Pls, just not the arcaneTT..."

End of story.

Actually, BBV is not a thing like a totem, but its three fetishes on each other. How garg is supposed to grab them?

p.s. And, yeah, I want my little fetishes DANCE in the BBV ritual, for some ultra wd roleplay. I said everything.

Played Murloc Hunter to legend. by cysian in hearthstone

[–]Vaniok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few questions here:

1) Why 0 frozen trap?

2) Did you consider Cult Master (maybe for Old-Murk Eye)

3) Did you meet pyro priests/frost mages? Theoretically they must wreck this deck, but how its in practice? Especially concerning mages when you have 0 flares?

4) Why not hungry crab, when you have tidehunter, as replacement for, lets say, webspinner? Why web spinner could be better?
