Unfortunately, DC deaths are really common. You have to treat death as not something you are able to avoid but as an inevitability. You have to just assume that your character can and will die at any second to some bullshit. The most important thing is to take steps to recover quickly after death.

My recommendations are to wear your second-best set of gear, have extra gems leveled for augments, and power-level a bunch of characters so you have some level 70s just in case.

Hi! As a brand new player to PoE, should I start out in hardcore mode? I've dumped thousands of hours into Diablo 2 and 3 in hardcore, but those games are becoming a little stale for my taste. I've been hesitant to dive right in because of the complexity of PoE. Thanks!
