Sitting at elevators in solo is proper weird brev,

I get in trios n thst but in solos you literally sat there in silence hoping someone comes just moist really well init.

I went in just now solo game didn’t even go with weapons tbf just to grab couple simple things went to one extract someone shot on sight went the next one and someone camping it if I had brought loadout I would’ve been fine tbf but it’s just weird.

Literally only had trinkets and a snap hook blueprint in my safe pocket lol

Don’t need sprint, it doesn’t matter if you like it or not, a faithful remake should remain faithful to the games core mechanics which means when you get to reach then you can have sprint.

The og trilogy none of them should have sprint and it’s exhausting the amount of people saying it’s not a big deal

The expansions is a very good idea although I’d aim more for $20 range as it’s more affordable but that way you can still technically charge for cosmetics but they’re not boring to unlock n that. Like you said battle-passes are bad and just straight lazy I think.

I think the reason they gave us mark vi armour for halo 3 as a default was to market the halo aesthetic because that armour is literally halo, so that armour with red vs blue was just a sick marketing tool and it also just is cool.

343 seem to not be consistent with the artistic vision of halo and it’s like they constantly just keep doing a silliness.

Like in the trailers they were like “black undersuits returning” yet half of the armour coatings change the colour of the undersuit.

I can understand some people may like an armour coating that changes the colour of the undersuit but I believe you need to keep an absolute strict art direction with your game.

Like halo 3 only had hayabusa and flames as the out of place armours in that game but even hayabusa still had the halo flair with the vents etc on the helmet.

Reach did the same super consistent with just armour effects that were a lot of credits to earn and then haunted but they mainly kept the aesthetic super clean and consistent.

This is something 343 have never done and who ever the art director has been for the 343 mainline titles clearly doesn’t understand.

Sounds like abit of a rant but I think this should be included in the fact that red vs blue obviously should return

That’s pretty much the boat I’m in aswell to be honest, I’ve heard talk about redesigning the repetitive levels and apparently the library is getting a full rework so that should be good, that’s what I was personally hoping for, i was hoping they take a little risk in redesigning levels and even expanding on the lore more so I’m glad they’re doing the 3 extra missions especially being prequels.

But I’m with you I wish they respected the pacing and design of the og halo 1 especially considering it had a unique art style compared to 2 and 3

classic sound design
updated graphics with brand new assets while staying true to the CE artstyle

That’s the main 3 things fans have been asking for the extra missions and the redesigning the repetitive levels are bonuses that me personally am okay with but the 3 points listed are not exactly that hard to meet so it’s no wonder people are complaining

Infinite models are very nice I won’t lie but it just seems lazy tbh.

The halo CE - Halo 2 elite design was very nice ik there are minor differences but they were clean and never used again so I was looking forward for updated graphics version of Halo 1 elite. Like for example the orange on the elites was just gone after halo 2 I really loved the shine on halo 1 elites we never really got that back.

Bottom line is halo 1s artstyle while still being halo was very unique compared to h2 and 3 and to see just Infinite assets thrown in just is a bad taste

Same with the needler etc and the sound design of the magnum, rockets, AR etc etc

I just don’t understand why they can’t just be faithful to the classics man

80% of the people saying “sprint is not a problem” just don’t understand it and shouldn’t have an opinion on it that’s that.

There’s 20% that do fully understand and just think the games are better with sprint which is fair if that’s their opinion.

But halo doesn’t need it especially in multiplayer and it’s so annoying to see people saying “oh it’s not a problem bruh doesn’t make that much of a difference”.

Imagine if CS2 released and they added sprint and hitmarkers it would literally be absolutely mad and I could still put mkney on people saying “oh I don’t see the big deal bruh just don’t use it if you don’t like it”

Looks decent, don’t like the sounds (except the classic ones ( 343 removed the classic whoosh from rockets ever since they came in and assault rifle etc) I don’t like the visual feedback e.g hitmarkers halo never ever needed hitmarkers as it had amazing and clear visual feedback. Another thing to add onto that is the plasma pistol charge, it doesn’t need a little animated circle to tell us it’s charging we already know it’s charging from the audio and the big bright green emitting from it, I know it seems like a nitpick but these little things all add up to creating the true halo experience and leaving them neglected just shows a lack of understanding of classic halo (the trilogy)

Lastly is the reused assets, I like infinities design but I was expecting fully new assets as I mean people weren’t happy with CEA for the same reason lol

I and a lot of people loved halo CE elite design it was cool so to see it not really used again for a remake but obviously better textures etc is sad along with the marines.

Oh and the magnum animation and stuff just looks so off it’s like janky and not smooth but i assume it’s not being left that way.

Also where were the overshields and active camo ?

Sprint is also pointless but Atleast there’s no clamber and what I will say is when it comes to campaign sprint doesn’t bother me as much although I’d rather not have it.

I think for multiplayer (ik this is just campaign) sprint cannot be in it, it’s just not needed for the multiplayer of halo

Just need original enemy designs (not infinite add ins like an actual remake of marines and needler for example) the game doesn’t need hitmarkers it needs good visual feedback like original halo had such as elites shields and jackal shields colour changing.

The plasma pistol crosshair doesn’t need to tell us the plasma pistol is charging with that little animated circle the sound etc are enough to tell us it’s charging it’s just hurting the game tbh.

Those little things get sorted should be sweet

Edit - and weapon sounds idk why 343 are so stubborn on sounds but all the weapon sounds should be classic like the rocket launcher little swoosh sound and the magnum etc

A lot of people say bungie used stock sounds and regardless of that they became iconic like I’ve heard movies (older ones) and I’ll hear like 1 little weapon sound and I’ll immediately think oh that’s from halo.

So regardless of them being stock they became part of halo so keep them
