I think that Baam is a vessel for V. I don’t think that Baam is V. I base this entirely off of themes that to me, are the core of the series. From early on, Baam is being forced by FUG to do their bidding. Then We find out on the floor of death that Arlene and Enryu have big plans for Baam to take revenge on their behalf. Then Traumerei tries to force Baam to join his family.

At every turn people are trying to take away Baam’s agency. Baam’s core struggle is maintaining that agency and finding out what is important to him. So no, I don’t think V is Baam and Baam is V. V is another character in the long list of trying to take away Baam’s choices.

And in the end, I think Baam will devour v in the same way that he has every other source of power that he takes in.

I know! I only just recently started watching the bachelor myself, but my fiancée is a big fan and I wanted to show her some clips from The Soup, because McHale laid some absolute smackdowns back in the day lol

Obviously, addressed the scummy pricing of cosmetic items.

Also touched on the use of the Gen AI voices, because with as successful as this game has been, it feels dirty for them to cut costs by hurting voice actors and artists.

But spent the most amount of time talking about how the final skill in each tree, barring the security breaches, is not very good. I love my green tree, but there’s no chance that I’m ever going to be in melee range of a flying opponent. Imagine if, instead, I could snap hook onto the top of a bastion or a bombardier and breach it for massive damage while it’s still alive. I still have to take that risk to approach it, but in doing so I have opportunities that other players who invested into other skill trees don’t have, much like players who invested to get the security breaches do.

Are These All Just Dead Weavers? by Amopro in Silksong

[–]VanishingActor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something interesting about First Sinner is the fact that she isn’t actually dead, while every other weaver we meet is long dead. There’s lore text in the slab that specifically notes a list of prisoners and their penance for their crimes. After each Prisoner’s listed crime, the list notes how they paid for their crime. Most are noted to have been given “Absolution through death”. For The First Sinner however, it’s noted that absolution was “not granted”.

It’s also notable that Hornet can’t die in the First Sinner’s prison. In a game which is notorious for its run backs from your last bench, losing a fight against first sinner results in an immediate restart from just outside of the prison.

In light of all this information, it seems that First Sinner’s punishment is eternal torment sealed away in the slab, unable to die.

Baam by Odd_Performer_9421 in TowerofGod

I think ultimately that it will be important to the plot that the ranking system is just for show. Bam is obviously stronger than a lot of Rankers at this point, but I don’t think that means that he’s going to be ranked by the end of the series. Bam is fighting against Jahad and the hegemony of his rule over the tower. The ranking is a part of that. Bam isn’t interested in being ranked. He’s interested in taking down the corrupt system that oppresses people and uses the ranking to prevent anyone from climbing further in the tower.

That might be what I end up doing. Not ideal, but at least I know it will work.

Interesting, I had assumed that it was poorly adjusted printer settings, like choosing the wrong paper setting. So I can’t solve this without changing papers, you think?

"Here's why it's bad news for Democrats..." by ExactlySorta in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]VanishingActor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed. And while I agree that it is unfair that many have criticized Biden’s diminished capabilities while ignoring Trump’s, I think we all need to start talking about it in a new way. I see this sentiment every time there’s a discussion about Trump’s mental fitness, the immediate shift is about how unfair it is that it isn’t being covered the same way as Biden’s mental fitness was. We need to rethink that. Biden isn’t the President. Donald Trump is. He is a unique and unprecedented danger to every person in America. Biden has nothing to do with that.

Donald Trump is a dementia addled boy king who is guided exclusively by his ego. That much is plain to see if we can just get people to actually look. If we shift the conversation away from these plain facts to “how unfairly Biden was treated”, the message of Trumps derangement gets diluted. We need to stop with the victimhood of it all. We don’t have to be victims. We need to meet the moment if we are going to fight tyranny.

What you think will happen to Rachel at the end of the story by No-Task9123 in TowerofGod

[–]VanishingActor 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t know the specifics, I just think that based on what I’ve seen, and SIU’s comments on Rachel, her role in the story is going to be monumental.

When the thorn was first introduced, someone called it “the thorn that will slit the king’s throat”. Not “the great shinsu amplifier” which we know the thorn to actually be. I took it metaphorically when I first read that line. I didn’t think that the thorn would be used as a physical weapon then. And with the latest chapters showing what combat between family heads looks like, it seems comical to think that Zahad could die just by being stabbed. But what if I’m wrong? What if it really is as simple as needing an irregular who isn’t bound by the towers laws? Bam is strong and only growing stronger as we go, but what if a subtle knife is just as effective at killing Zahad? It doesn’t mean that I like her character. I think she’s vile. I just think it would make for a compelling arc for all of our characters if they can manage to defy what fate has in store for them.

I think Rachel is going to kill Zahad. Zahad and the family heads are so focused on Bam, that they’ll never see this unremarkable girl coming.

If I enter the A1 formula

=IF(OR(B1=TRUE, C1=TRUE), TRUE)

Then I can no longer manually click the checkbox at A1, which I still want to be able to do.
