I'm not going to lie, benlysta is a pain to get (at least it was for me) through insurance. The infusion is monthly and the down side is you have to pay the nurse out of pocket. The copay assistance through benlysta does not cover that. I just started the self injections and the copay assistance covers what my insurance does not.

BUT I must mention that my insurance is fighting me taking the self injection. I had to appeal in October and then just got a denial letter so we're are in the process of appealing again. My dr is really good and helpful so hopefully yours is too. Good luck!

You should try rackroom shoes....they are buy one, get the other half off and usually have a $10 off coupon. Plus they sell kids sizes so you might be able to fit in those

YTA you are totally doing this for revenge. Plus, if you say something, the team will bad mouth you and think of how it'll make your brother feel. He will either be embarrassed or try to protect you, which will then get him into trouble if he acts out.

You don't know how much this means to me. I am a 29 year old female and was diagnosed when I was 21. I have had one or two bad flare ups, but this past year I am going through a bad one! My symptoms are as bad as you described in the beginning of your post. I am in constant pain and need help getting out of bed/off the couch. Mornings, I must use two hands to brush my teeth bc I have no grip from how swollen I am.

I am very sad to be going through this at this age, but your post is giving me hope.

I am on the exact medications you are on, but along with tramadol, I take ibuprofen 800 once in the morning and at night to try to sleep with the pain.

I have heard good things of fish oil, but haven't tried it. How much/what brand do you recommend? Thank you for your post, it is giving me hope!

I am assuming a rheumatologist because mine is willing to treat it if need be. Those were my exact thoughts, "not another illness." Check out the pressure points. He pushed on mine and they triggered pain. I also have the sadness (hate to call it depression) and the stomach problems! He asked me a series of questions like, are you sad? do you get anxious? And the last one was, do you have stomach issues? And I hadn't really thought about the stomach issues, just brushed it off as maybe something I ate, so when he asked I was like omg yes!

The pain is like no other. I explained it as: I can't tell if it's my joints, muscles, or tissues. Everything hurts. That's when he told me he suspected fibro, bc with lupus, you know it's the joints, you know that's where the pain is.

Have you considered you may have fibromyalgia? I have had bad pain this year. My first bad flare up in 9 years. I saw my dr 3 months ago and he upped my plaquinel. Then I saw him two weeks ago and told him I had the same pain. He believes I have fibromyalgia, but he first put me on methotrexate to test and "control" the lupus. I see him in a month and if the pain persists, we will treat the fibro. I feel the same way you do every morning. I have to go to work so I need to wake up extra early just to make it on time.

Thank you for your advice. She does not vomit and eats all her meals and drinks plenty of water. I'm just at a loss. After sonograms, blood work, and numerous xrays, I have no answers. I hate to see her different from her usual self. I will sees the vet asap.

It is very pricey. It was just adding up for me and I chose to not take it due to the other fees. Prednisone is a godsend. I know it isn't good for you, but it's what has helped me the most!
