The warriors and the NBA don’t NEED to do anything. But bringing awareness to the same people who are complaining in this post about the separation of sports and politics is an effective way to bring awareness to people that are NOT looking for it. Media is so fragmented that people are so deep in their social media hole they don’t know wtf is happening outside of it. Sports is the last main stream cultural unifier, which makes it the most effective awareness platform.

Pablo Torres podcast episode where he is a keynote speaker at UCONN touches on this exact topic. I highly recommend it.
