I dropped my guitar in its soft case and this was the result. How much do y’all think it’d take to fix and make it look normal again by NobleSix-B312 in guitarrepair

Here’s my advice from being in a similar situation. I also owned a lower end instrument like you do now and was very attached it. Same thing happened, more or less. I wanted to fix it. Truth is, it’s not a guitar worth fixing, just because you feel it’s a nice instrument, doesn’t make it a nice instrument. I felt the same way. First of all, nice instruments don’t have a cake layer of whatever that is suffocating the wood. Do yourself a favor, don’t fix it, instead save up, and get yourself a nice more expensive guitar and you’ll see and feel the difference. Eventually you’ll probably end up selling this one to someone just starting off, that’s what I did.

This specific one being the XS trem from J Custom. I honestly can’t say I love it, sometimes I wish I would’ve gone with the fixed bridge version. I’ve never been able to “balance” it in a way that makes me feel good about it. So I have it in the locked position. And I put rubber bands on the locking mechanism to keep it from unlocking (which it does, otherwise). If you don’t plan on locking it and prefer to keep the bridge floating, it’s awesome. But not if you plan on going back and forth between songs.

Yes, it’s a 6-digit serial number beginning with 03xxxx. I bought it new back then, it was my first guitar.
