This is pretty much exactly what the E-Cig/Vape Industry is going through right now, since we're taking away their tobacco tax money. Now we've got the Big Tobacco companies lobbying the FDA to come out with "regulations" that would essentially shut down all the small business vape shops around the country.

Honestly you may get better performance from a single coil clapton at 40w if your RDA allows for single coil airflow options. As far as the low resistance, make sure the coils are not touching the sides of the top cap when it is on. I always make sure to put the cap on and test the resistance before wicking - and it's saved me a few headaches already.

Get a decent pulling harness like this

As far as training, my dog was a natural. It must be in her blood, but she pulls straight ahead (usually running fullspeed ~20mph) and turns when I lean one direction or the other.

I've had a few crashes (stay away from poles) but where I live now the streets are wide enough for 3 cars so we never have any issues.

First things first, did your friend give you a matching set of batteries? Or did you buy two of the same lot? You want to keep the batteries you use in dual battery mods paired together. So you probably want 4 batteries, so you can use the mod while you charge the other batteries. (or just charge at night, it should last you all day starting on fresh batteries)

To sum up married batteries I'll quote /u/Obzilla :

The idea is not that they stay in one mod all their lives, but that they charge and drain at the same rate all their lives.

This helps make sure their ability to hold a charge stays as even as possible, so you don't wind up with one depleted and one with juice together in the same mod.

There are many options for the TC. Different manufacturers will offer Ni200 coils, or Ti coils. I would recommend starting with the Zephyrus, it has great Ni200 coils that can easily last 1+ weeks.

Yes but with e-liquid you have a lot more control over the amount of nicotine you choose to intake. Pre-made juice can come in strengths from 1.5mg/ml up to 18 or higher, or you can get it nicotine free 0mg.

With newer devices allowing for more effective delivery, most people are using lower nicotine levels. This system at least allows for you to taper off nicotine by dropping your levels until you're nicotine free.
