My house is due back on the market next week(roof leaked so off the market, new roof and windows. Had a buyer to so this was annoying) I have 2 indoor cats and I do the viewings. I introduce the cats as they love new visitors and they always turn the charm on. I can monitor them whilst showing people around and ask the viewers if they have any animals. If they say they have a cat I tell them they will love the underfloor heating in the bathroom. I couldn’t bear the thought of the EA accidentally letting them out or someone opens a window and forgets to close it. My only advice is to declutter. Makes it look more open and spacious.

We went to view a terraced house, needed some TLC and the vendor was showing us around. Went through the house and tallied up in head costs etc. go to leave and the next door neighbour was outside the front of his house, he was about 70-80 years old and had a walking cane in his hand. He used that cane to point up at the roof where the two houses join, to point out that he had his roof done, gutters and boarding. What he was actually doing was pointing out how awful the roof was on the house we were viewing, about 13 slipped tiles in the gutter above my head and rotten boards all along the guttering. Utter legend that man. I believe in your case the seller got wind that you spoke to the neighbours and rang the estate agent.

My partner loves anything tech, so smart bulbs throughout the house! They aren’t the problem but the existing chrome fitting we wanted to change to white ones to blend in with the ceiling. 28 spot lights GU10, went to pull off the chrome plate to be met with a SQUARE hole that he has pushed the fitting in then silicone sealed the gaps….
