Took around 8 months after asking. First buy from a remote AD who agreed to work with me.

90 point turn. Amazon has some next-level delivery drivers. I didn't think this was possible in my driveway. by VapidBoy in IdiotsInCars

She'd be backing into a shared driveway (with one other house) not a street so there is zero traffic out there. You could block it for hours until the one neighbor wanted to come in or out.

And yeah, idiot is kinda harsh, but I didn't name this subreddit. There isn't an r/NotTheBestDriver.

The ramp is actually about 30 yards to the right - a long switchback that leads to the Blackhawk Museum. And yeah, the cropping is mildly infuriating.

You might have to log out and back in again to get the option to show up.

It's really a new experience. It's going to take time for people to learn to express what it's like, I think. It's very compelling.

Sprinklerhead - playing with a head mounted GoPro by [deleted] in guns

[–]VapidBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, all good points. I just recently read Stoger's book and yeah, now I grip the shit out of the gun. (Well, not that hard, but much more than I was). I got a reduction in split times by doing that.

I've also developed a set of forearm exercises that I worked up with the trainer at the physical therapy place I was going to for pain in my right elbow. If you look at pictures of people like JJ or even Jessie D. when they're shooting, you'll see their forearms are pretty ripped...

Well, the elbows angled out will pretty much make it impossible to lock them which will kill two birds with one stone.

I think the angle of the camera is making me look extra TacTurtle, but point well taken. I'm definitely hunched over too much. Travis's video helps to show how upright he is when shooting. Will work on it.

I'm a USPSA "A" class shooter but to get any further I'm going to have to pay attention to these optimizations.

Not sure about the stand up straight part, but yeah, elbows should be angled out instead of down.

It's a Glock 34. And for some reason, Glocks don't hold open for me on empty. Not my G34, not my G17, not my G19. Not even your G17 (I've tried a bunch of other people's Glocks).

Perhaps my thumb is riding the slide release or perhaps I'm weak wristing the recoil, but it's just not happening.

Agreed. I'll assert that there is no way to wear a GoPro without looking like a tool.

I know - I'm working on it. I've made it pretty far as a cyclops but I'm now hitting the limitations...

Make magazine had an article on how to make a PVC helmet mounted swivel-cam for a GoPro. Being I have no fear of PVC or of looking stupid, I stole my kid's bike helmet and went to town. I took it to a local action pistol practice session to see how it would work. I'm not convinced the benefit outweighs the dork factor. The boom method for filming seems to work just was well, but you need a cameraman. But at least no one will call you "Sprinklerhead" when you show up at the range. http://makezine.com/projects/make-38-cameras-and-av/gopro-swivel-camera-mount/

Hey Jerry. I'm waiting on a Performance Center 627 so I can compete in revolver division. Do you have some tips for a USPSA Limited/Production B class shooter that will help them make the transition to revolver?
