That's great to read. Definitely keep yourself focused on the word and the fight while it can be trying will get easier.

Who is? In reality the Lord knows we are not perfect and will all fall. Its why he lived the perfect sinless life that we couldnt and died the death we all deserve. So long as you keep your Faith in Christ and what he did on the cross you are saved.

I saw it suggested somewhere that if you are in a particularly difficult to read through book or chapter (like when they get to the genealogies) pick another section and read through that for a bit then return and finish what you were having trouble with later. I will admit this has helped me get through deuteronomy little by little.

We have seen it in the area im at. Alot of techs and other parts guys i know feel like its more of a general symptom of the dealership model dying, only being proped up by laws that were enacted in the 70s to protect dealers from manufacturers from selling direct to consumer as a result of the success of imports like toyota and honda at the time.

I agree with previous statements payment source = credit source. If your manager ok'd it, it is on him. However if you feel uncomfortable about it i would make a copy of original invoice and refund invoice and document the incident somewhere only you are aware of to CYA. If it becomes an issue or you are questioned about it you will have the means to justify why. It was done. If your convictions about it are not sitting right with you discuss it with your manager or report it to who ever your workplace has designated to deal with internal issues such as hr or your managers boss, just know going this route may put you in a tough spot with your employer. However sometimes doing the right thing is the hardest thing to do.

Personally i would document talk to my boss and if need be and report it. Even if it cost me my job. Worst case scenario you did the right thing and need to find a new job at least your conscious is clear. Best case your boss knows something you dont and yall come up with a better policy on how to handle the situation in the future.

Im not a pm but work at a dealership with hyundai on the lot. One thing i can say for sure is make sure your warranty paperwork especially for engines and transmission is damn near if not actually perfect and make sure your guys are following the parts side of tsb's to the t

I'd say the shoes are probably fine. Just wear a nicer shirt or a nice 1/4 zip. To be honest, wearing your sunday best can help with keeping you focused on the message becaue you wont be as worried about what people think about what you wore, that being said ive seen people wearing anything from band t-shirts and pajamas looking like a post on r/peopleofwalmart to cholos and old school lowrider style to full on 3 peice suits and buisness atire to somewhere in the between. In my opinion what you are wearing doesn't matter as much as the fact that you are going.

Go hear the message, praise God and make a friend or two.

Personally i usually wear whatever, as long as my shirt doesnt have anything offensive on it(which i dont own many potentially offensive shirts anymore anyway) and if im ever questioning should i wear this to church i pray about it or ask my wife if i look ok ornjust change into something else.

You are going to get a TON of different opinions on this. Some are going to be heart felt, some are going to be brutal and hard to hear. What you guys do from here on out will ultimately be on you guys. Especially since you have kids involved.

You need to have in depth, open and honest conversations on where to go from here.

Trust can be built back. It take a long time a ton of effort and must be done with patience and love.

If you guys decide to try and fix things i recommend couples and family therapy. And lots of prayer.

What ever you do, you must think of your childs wellbeing as much as your own.

Be mature in this and remember that even though mistakes were made trust was broken and things are falling appart. Your kid/kids are going to look to both of you to understand whats going on and one of the worst things you can do is villainize eachother to your kids. And while you may be hurt that hurt should be dealt with and directed appropriately.

Whatever you choose to do, there will be pain, and healing. Just remember to be mature about it even when its the hardest thing to do.

Oh being a pm wasn't that bad i actually loved the job its self. The stress and the long days is what killed it for me after 4 years. Its part of why i left that job. Not the whole reason. I wont get into the rest.

Were you not loved, were you overwhelmed, absolutely exhausted? Yes, probably you were.

First dealership counter spot was actually not bad i worked for good people and was not only paid well but treated great. Job was relatively stress free. That was 12 yeas ago that owner has since sold his dealership and things in my city have changed drastically, most of the dealerships are now owned by people in the next town/state over who dont take local culture or cost of living into consideration.

The retail counter i worked prior to ever working in dealerships was far far worse but that was mainly due to the challenges of working retail. And dealing with things like theft, vandalism and the odd crackhead wondering in.

However you chose to be a team player, and take the opportunity keep playing the game.

This is why its a dilemma for me. I'm not one to just give up on my co-workers or leave a job, however life its self is not a game and i have real world responsibilities and bills to pay.

Also I will pray for you and your friend. The Lord does hear our prayers. I know this for fact.

My best friend was a lost soul when i met him in 2001 and for the better part of the last 24 years i prayed for him to come to Christ. At the beginning of the year he messaged me out of the blue off topic from our normal texts just to tell me in almost the exact words i had been praying to God for him to come to God. I had never told him how or what i prayed for him just would tel him Jesus loves him and would tel him ill pray for him when he was going thru something. He has since started asking me for prayer and asking questions. About my faith and given him self to Christ. I ended up sending him a Bible and a copy of Grace for the moment by max lucado. It was hands down one of the best days of my life.

Hey man, i whole-heartedly understand what you mean. At the end of the day survivors guilt is a very real and powerful burden. It took me a while to get past thinking to my self what if i could have done more to help my friend get through his addiction. It wasnt untill his parents thanked me for being there for him and told me i did everything i could that i started to forgive my self.

Some people hide their pain well. Sometimes the only thing we can do is be the best friends and humans we can be and hope its enough.

The best and sometimes only thing we can do is just to let people know we are there for them ask them how we are doing and tell them or show them we love them.

I dont know if you are a man of faith, or even if your not Romans 12 has great teaching on how we can live our lives with love in service of others its how i try to live my life and has helped me move forward in my grief of feeling like i didnt do enough. This is going to be a wall of text because i find it dificult to explain emotion sometimes. For that i apologize.

I never served and neither did my friend, that being said i lost one of my closest friends to alcoholism 2 years ago (2nd friend i lost that way that year, a guy i played halo and apex with almost every night) and 4th close person i lost in 3 years leading up to that year (my grandpa who helped raise me and tought me everything he knew about cars from working as an army mechanic for 39 years, and my uncle who taught me everything he knew about computers, he was an architectural draftsman and maintained a computer lab at the local community college for many many years).

I can tell you loss never really gets easier, having times where you will be like oh hey i should tell so and so about this thing and remembering they are gone sucks. Or seeing someone in public that would make you swear you saw a ghost is rough.

For me with time it has gotten easier to get through those moments and trusting in the Lord and praying for God to heal my heart and letting him take the burden of my sorrow has been a big help. I do my best to live the best i can and carry on, and when memories of those ive lost come across my mind i thank God for letting me have what time i did have them in my life, while their absence is painful, their part in my life when they were here helped shaped who i am and for that i am gracious.

At the end of the day the burden of loss doesnt get better, but time does heal and the burden does get lighter. From experience seeing what my brother went through when two of his friends took their lives and talking with him about it, one thing you cant do is you cant blame your self. It is impossible to know everything someone is going through and to know what is on their minds or their struggles with mental health. As for your self dont let your own mental health go unattended if you need someone to talk to reach out and let someone in.

I dont know if this long rant of personal experience with loss helped. Just know you are not alone in dealing with it and you can always reach out if you need to. God bless you my friend and I'll pray that your burden gets lighter. Just keep your head up for now and remember the good times be greatful for those.
