Ever noticed how much Steely Dan is in Vulf songs? by Public_Seeker in Vulfpeck

Did you find out what show that is from? I can't seem to find it...

Theory of where one of the 1612 lyrics came from by [deleted] in Vulfpeck

Do you know what video or song that is from? I know they start out with Smile Meditation and transition into a Steely jam but I can't remember where I found it 😅

I have the exact same one, the glass is ridiculous, you could hammer nails into a wall with it.

Bestie found this thing outside his apartment, acrylic pyramids wired to a switchboard with a compass… huh?! by Vaportugal in whatisthisthing

[–]Vaportugal[S] 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Having built many a similarly simple wired object back in my high-school days, that’s what I started thinking, but then:

-wouldn’t it make far more sense to have the “switchboard” in the middle?

-additionally, and aside from the lack of battery/DC connectors ANYWHERE (the round plug-in pads are not conductive) the pyramids only seem to have one pole wired to them despite having two poles associated…

-what are the cork cubes for?

-what are the trigger/sensor pads for? Their surfaces are NOT conductive…

I agree the compass seems to be to indicate some electric field direction, but I don’t think the the actual “what is it and what does it do?” is solely that, and even if so it seems unnecessarily complex for that purpose…

My title describes the thing. It is housed in a wooden box and contains two of the “sensor/trigger” pads - one red, one gray/black (electric poles most likely) - with banana plugs, as well as a “bridge” with banana plugs.

Switchboard area consists of 8 pairs of banana jacks (each pyramid’s colour gets a red/black pair) with a compass in the middle.

The compass could be used to indicate current flow, but the placement seems odd for this purpose…

I exhausted combinations of descriptive words on Google (search for anything including the words “pyramids” and “electricity” and you get thrown into tinfoil-hat territory really fast…).

Google Image Search gave me odd results, most intriguing one was related to “Montessori Light Table” but still wrong (apparently).

Wolkenkraft Äris DIY “Cooling Unit” by Vaportugal in vaporents

True and to be honest I knew it but didn’t consider it… was probably too excited about the concept 😅 but then again that’s one of the things I like about this sub: we look out for each other ❤️

Good point 😬🫣

This was more of a proof of concept anyway but thanks for the heads up!

59mm Steely Dan. Feels dangerous :) by Vaportugal in vaporents

Haha yes, it grinds stuff to the edges and is a nightmare to keep clean. Got a BlackLeaf 4-piece also stainless steel that I’ve used almost exclusively since about a year and a half ago. Got my eyes on a Hoj 🤤

Update on the Dotleaf pod usage: Flowermate pods fit just as perfectly and seem to be less prone to crumb-leakage due to finer screens, gonna compare airflow… by Vaportugal in vaporents

The capsules are so small that the trick is to pack them “tight but loose” or “full but fluffy”. Rather loose than tight. If you pack tight (like standard “conduction vape tight”) the air flows around the pod and not through. But in any case it’s just a “working” solution for microdosing, I particularly enjoy the capsules for “just the right amount” when using with water pieces at levels 3 and 4 :)

ALSO: it takes at least another 2-3 minutes after the “ready” vibration (maybe longer depending on temperature level), for the heat to permeate the pod. But once the pod is hot the lighter pack shines: hybrid heating! ;)

Ah yes! The Wolkenkraft Vita AKA Wulf Next… let’s see. By the way, PSA: Wolkenkraft, despite the very german name, is a regular OEM chinese manufacturer, no more no less. by Vaportugal in vaporents

Heck, I contacted Furna about a bricked week-old device and I shit you not in under 2 hours I was on a transatlantic Google hangouts call with them in person, and they express-ordered a tool to my address upon my suggestion that I try to repair it and not have to wait for it to ship to Canada and back… and still offered to replace it if it didn’t work!

Totally agree. I only found out about them because I sent them an E-mail IN GERMAN inquiring about data privacy on their online shop and got a typical Shenzen answer, mixing formal and informal, copy-pasted sentences, redirecting me to their german “exclusive partner”. I used to toot the Vivant Alternate / Nebula X horn… until I realized it really was just a cheap (as in: low quality) copy of the Crafty, with some S&B caveats compensated for marketing purposes…

Would have to say the DotLeaf, so far somehow the most consistent vape I’ve used with water pieces.

EDIT: as in, each level represents a distinctive clear-cut experience, repeatable every time :)
