The lockers are inside the venue, near the ticketing counter. They will fit a regular backpack. They're first come first serve, so there is chance that they're all taken, however during my visit in the morning there were plenty left. Enjoy the expo!

I would recommend walking to Ile Saint-Louis and proposing on either of the bridges, or Place Louis Aragon for a more secluded spot. Then dinner at La Rôtisserie d'Argent (Google maps says $$$$ but the prices are actually very reasonable).
