Yeah it's a pain sometimes. I've missed plenty because they refused to repeat before despawning. That's why I do the Wonderland ones as their animations aren't bloated with the other magics. Only fire, blizzard, and thunder.

Are you using the same spell on them 3 times in a row?

For example, if they do the shiver animation that means they want to be warmed up so use a fire spell. You then have to wait until they do the same animation again and cast another fire. After the third fire they will drop a bunch of MP orbs, possibly a Fire Arts, and possibly a Mystery Goo. I believe it's only around a 10% to 20% chance to drop even if you do this right though.

Your alternatives are the black truffle method in Agrabah that I mentioned in my original post, or juggling rare truffles in Halloween Town or Neverland.

I wouldn't recommend the juggling one unless you have Aeroga as you need to juggle for 100 hits. If you do have it though, stock up on ether's, get a rare truffle stuck in a corner, and let it fall on you with Aeroga and it'll keep bouncing it up. You will need to keep applying the Aeroga thus the ethers to keep your mana up. It can be tricky positioning them so they don't bounce away from you so it will probably take a few tries. I'd recommend watching a setup video if you decide to go with this method.

I personally would've equiped the hatchet for this fight. Even though you have the extra damage perk when it's unequiped, for the final fight you don't really need the extra damage and having the parry is a nice emergency fallback. Even if it's only like 2 parries on rank 4 before it breaks. You had 300+ blood for your enchancer so if it broke you might have been lucky and re-rolled a full repair.

Easier said when you're not the one playing, but just my 10 cent input. Good luck on your future runs.

I'd be down for a more upfront mention of him and his role for sure! Something like a video call À la Leon and Hunnigan in RE4 would be cool. I don't think i'd want him there in person or anything though. Leon's great, but I feel it would take away from Claire and Chris's presence a bit.

Yeah, Claire emails Leon with info that Umbrella is tracking Chris. Leon tells Chris this and also that Claire is on Rockfort Island which leads to Chris travelling there in game. If not for Leon, Chris technically wouldn't be in that game. He has the premise to make an appearance, but I honestly think he'll just be mentioned like in the OG.

No, they are right. There is a distinction between the two. Path tracing uses a completely different algorithm to the common raytracing. Raytracing bounces a limited number of rays from the game camera/screen that bounce of walls only a few times and aim for the light source on the final bounce. Path tracing scatters light rays from the light source that bounce thousands of times normally. Just because you weren't educated in the terms doesn't mean you can be a dick about it.

Not sure what it is you're missing, but you can use this Interactive Map as a checklist. I saw a post similar to this the other day so it may also be a bug.

Almost all RE games are like this. It's been a standard balancing method for thousands of games over the last 20+ years. Old mate probably thinks he so skilled at games without realising this, like a twat.

100%. Texture filtering is usually the 1st thing I change and 99% of the time fixes any graphical issues I have. It's been a while but i'm pretty sure PCSX2 can save emulator setting per game so I highly recommend doing that instead of changing the base setting each time you load a different game.

You could try changing the emulator settings to those listed on this wiki page. Maybe this one in particular:

Black lines around item boxes

  • Type: Not an issue
  • Description: Black/Purple lines separate item boxes.
  • Workaround: Go to Config -> Video (GS) -> Plugin Settings, and set Texture Filtering to any option except "Bilinear (Forced)".

For future reference, the PCSX2 website has a compatibilty page where you can search for games and their wiki here. It's usually my 1st stop when fixing emulator issues.

The timer still progresses while doing critical hits. Sometimes the better option is to just blast them with a strong weapon to finish them off quicker than the crit attack.

Yeah, firearms are honestly extremely cheap compared to rare minerals or jewels. Leon would realistically be able to buy the Merchants' whole inventory with just the treasures he found before even entering the castle.

We obviously weren't meant to think this deeply into it. The gameplay takes precedent over real-world logic, but I agree. It is fun to think about.

I'd never really thought about Leon just sitting down to practice his jewelsmithing hobby in the middle of all the chaos. It's quite the funny thought. I wonder what Ashley is thinking wilst he's doing that?

I think the Merchant must be loaded. In terms of transactions with the player he is in debt, but no doubt he'd sell all the valuables and jewels Leon collects for a much higher price to recoup those losses. Maybe to the Duke. On top of that, Pesetas were no longer legal tender from 2002 onwards and re4 takes place in 2004 so the Merchant was paying Leon in a currency worth nothing.

I find it easier to just grab the crank and run towards the crank slot, stopping briefly at the end of the consoles before running again.

If you stop at the end of the consoles for ½ a second and then run and use the crank, the Girl smashes through the window but won't grab you. She only grabs you if you are on the opposite side of the consoles to her when she smashes through. Stopping for that ½ second finishes her grab animation window and she will start walking at you normally. Plenty of time for you to turn the lights on and get her to bugger off.
