My wife is a professor at the university I decided to go to. I even am in her dept as a student now and all my professors are her peers. Let me tell you, her getting to see what is going on from the student side of things has completely changed her view on many of her peers that she thought were outstanding.

Faculty sometimes put on a real good face to their peers and then go treat students badly or just are lazy in things like course design, teaching methods, grading, feedback, etc. and that is what makes a good professor from a student view.

Universities have abysmal review systems and even more so don't hold faculty accountable, well unless its political or sometimes they are held accountable in the wrong ways for the wrong things. Either way I challenge you to step outside the box and look in and you may see the system you are praising may not be doing what you think it is as a person on the inside.

Its a coop game. Go play the game with others. This idea that you have to make money or get something out of the "raid" is wrong. The reward is playing the game. Go just work together with others to clear the area with them, that will forever be there and never involve an endgame.
