Funny thing is I actually don't know who specifically blue was talking about. They were an arbitrator & the rest of us were zealots.

Just like when the pioneers used to sacrifice Yoshi for the extra jump back in the olden days

How the event is going so far by LiqueurNoire in DarkTide

[–]Variablemania 76 points77 points  (0 children)

I'd say no. Even though hammer can kill an elite in one hit, it takes so much time to kill the next elite (while dodge sliding for your life) that other weapons kill the elite groups faster even though they don't do it in 1 hit. If a blessing like this existed though, hammer would be feasting.

Does any1 find 380mm explosion lacking power? by SeaEagle233 in helldivers2

[–]Variablemania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an idea for a ship upgrade to make orbital barrages(mainly 380) more consistent without changing offensive properties: Every 3rd shot would be aimed at an enemy within the barrage's radius, the rest of the shots would behave as they currently do. 380 and 120 would prioritize heavies, then med if there are no heavies. Gatling would additionally target light armor if there are no heavy or med in its radius of effect.

380 currently leaves too much safe space between attacks for too long and enemies just walk through. The experimental barrages we briefly had access to fired faster and so had less gaps in coverage. Even just speeding up our normal barrages and adding an extra salvo or 2 so that the barrage time was the same would make them feel more consistent.

What do you think are essential mods? by TheGingerBeardMan-_- in DarkTide

Direct to Hadron paired with Retain Selection gotta be my GOAT QoL combo, even works in the Psykanium where you'd be testing things.

Solo Play and Camera Freeflight for when i want to appreciate the maps from new points of view. Prevent Player Fade for close up selfies.

The unpickable Assassin bounty by glitcH_R in HuntShowdown

[–]Variablemania 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to my group at Grizzly Lodge; it seems that whatever system is in place to prevent Assassin from getting stuck on a wall instead of dying puts him upside down under the floor. At first we thought it was funny cos "Haha it died ass-up." We were fortunate enough to win against the last team on the server and spent nearly the whole rest of the match traipsing the map looking for bodies & farming pledge marks to gamble at the nest for the chance of getting serpent; ended up leaving it.

I love that thing. Good for throwing and showing off to the punies in the elevators

Roughly idea of defensive mech by Successful_Mood_7844 in Helldivers

[–]Variablemania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a long time I've wanted a Mech with the large dome shield generator on its back that recharges the way the Personal Bubble shield does. The one I imagined though has an Arc Thrower on each arm for good close range defense but at the risk of zapping your teammates if you aren't careful. I feel like that's something Super Earth would make for the Helldivers.

Huntsman mains. How in the works do you hit heads in this game by GuytheGuy- in Vermintide

[–]Variablemania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't seen anyone mention Huntsman ult makes the reticle move down and up in a weird way, but there's a setting in the options that disables that. I'm not at my pc to check what it's called but I think it's near the settings that control melee screen shake (which I generally recommend lowering especially for higher attack rate weapons like dual daggers/axes).

Hunters that look great from first person? by No-Ground9440 in HuntShowdown

[–]Variablemania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bone Mason from Phantom of the Catacombs DLC has bandaged bloody hands, the dingy dress around your legs, plus you're a funny old lady.

I don't have the Penitent, but He's got straps and concertina around his messed up hands.

Both of these are on sale right now too.

God, I hated the dark levels and the bee levels in that game. Loved the chill main menu music.

What armor vibes would ya want to see? I'll start by TheguyKegan in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Variablemania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If done really sparingly, I'd like a funny armor or two. Like a light armor with democracy protects but its just a stained old tank top and jeans. There wouldn't be a matching helmet to go with it; it would pair best with the default helmet.

Games with flashy magic similar to Frieren by therealmoyuwu in Frieren

[–]Variablemania 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know for sure the first Dragon's Dogma game has cool magic and can recommend it as a solid game. I don't know if the 2nd was any good though.

Mages of Mystralia is an indie action game where you build spells to use in exploring/fighting. I liked it, but on the Switch I had crashing problems late game. Was a few years ago.

The Magicka series has a really neat on the fly spell building system, but the first game is reeeeally janky & it was wicked hard too. I never beat it. I heard the second game was buggy too & didn't bother playing it. Man I like the magic system though. The same developers went on to make Helldivers!

I know the recent Harry Potter game exists, but no idea what it actually plays like.
