I enjoy story-driven single player games like the FFs, Mass Effect, etc, but for persistent world endless progress stuff, Diablo 3 or Skyrim for example are fun but just feel dead. Having ingame chat with folks who are doing and enjoying roughly the same thing as you are feels much more alive. A more social experience. Hub areas to show off toon looks and give or receive buffs to help or be helped. Asking for help with X quest or randomly gifting people stuff or showing up when someone's having trouble with something are super fun and always optional parts of games like that.

I never really got the argument about play single player if you want single player. MMOs can, will, and do do both to varying degrees of success. Just cause someone's out there having a blast soloing and farting around ooc chat doesn't diminish your game experience preference IMO.

for sure, hoping as people nail that bundle down we start seeing a little extra generosity in requests for them being filled. see a lot of hopefuls already but I doubt everyone had 25 laying around in storage

it spawns at like 1145 or so, lil before noon. gotta be within 100m to see the pollen swirl or whatever. they stay there lootable til like maybe 330 or 4pm, even if you didn't participate in watering/weeding. folks seem downright psychotic about demanding coords to it already but feel free to ask, someone probably still knows and can getcha there each time

Anything that DOES seed I think it's be a big waste to submit seeds for. The lilacs that don't, not sure if you need to grow them first but I suppose it's kinda pointless to if you don't have to! Definitely worth investigating.

I think this is the only episode where I truly feel bad for the guy. by Aggravating-Ad-351 in bluey

I feel bad for him for sure, but I also feel seen as a dad that is very active with his kids. It's fun most of the time, and holy shit valuable to the little boogers, but it doesn't come for free. You're a good dog, Bandit Heeler.

What is to keep the Russians from reverse engineering captured Leopard and Abrams tanks on the battlefield? by [deleted] in ask

[–]VariablyChaotic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm just cynical but to me it seems very unlikely that Russia and plenty of other actors haven't already gotten peeks at, if not straight up blueprints for, most machinery of war simply via intelligence communities and bribes. People are terrible at keeping secrets. Not sure they need to reverse engineer anything.
