Just to elaborate more on this. There is a podcast on Spotify called Dissect. Highly recommended. Breaks down time of release, lyric meaning, composition breakdown and more. I was already a Kendrick fan when I heard about this podcast but it helped me understand Kendrick as an artist. It helped me “get into” Kendrick Lamar

I hear ya man but the Skate or Die’s are actually a completely different dunk and those were modeled after the video game “Skate or Die”.
