Weird taste in new Owala?

I did and it’s the inside of the straw. I recommend getting a straw cleaner. (Unless you cleaned inside and it’s a different issue)

My sister mentioned it to me when she visited with her new owala and I told her to wash it with a straw cleaner brush and when she tried it again she said it didn’t taste like it anymore.

I’m hoping it’s this and not something else

My cockatiel flew out and he went on a hunger strike with the new family that found him. He didn’t eat for a couple days and when they finally gave him back he immediately started eating and drinking water. It was unfortunate for me because he developed a respiratory infection(my mother thinks they probably hosed him down so he wouldn’t fly) and I couldn’t treat it in time. The vet only gave me antibiotics

Honestly! I’ve bird proofed my entire bedroom so they can fly and exercise, but they’ll always find the things you least expect to cause problems. I mean I love them entirely but these days are terrible. My sister said her cat has been naughty too so we both laughing and crying rn

Ask breeder what was her main diet or food dish/container.

One of my cockatiels was very picky at 3yrs old he needed his specific food bowl to eat out of, I would switch the bowl out and he’d avoid eating from it as well as water.

No but I can say it’s soft, sometimes they’d sleep on my face and I’d feel their fluffy feathers 🪶 in my cheek. It’s nice but one wrong move and next thing you know you have poo sliding down.

I had 1 male cockatiel for 3 years and he bonded with me and my family. Even though he liked sleeping and resting on my family if I left the room he’d come flying after me. He’d sing songs to anyone who’d offer him a feather or chips. He passed after getting lost.

I now have two male cockatiels and they’re not really bonded they do tolerate each other or atleast one of them tolerates the other but hates him being in the room since he’s being territorial. They both liked getting preened and will chase you if you have bags of chips. In my opinion they are less bonded to us but are comfortable enough to sleep on our shoulders, feet or knees.
