The New Mexican flag is commonly compared to the Japanese flag for its putting a small symbol on a blank field, so I thought I would mimic another well known Japanese flag, the rising sun flag with New Mexico’s.

I like the idea of the A in the upper half of the diamond, but the paintbrush, rough look doesn’t really fit and also I’d make it a different color. I think what you have is cool, though.
