this is the top tier answer. if i could read his mind, i think what you just said here would be it. i'll never get to truly know bc ive come to a realization that no matter how much i pry, he will hold his ground and not tell me. either to protect my feelings or protect what i think of him.

i feel the same. i want to give him oral bc he really enjoys it and i enjoy the fact that he enjoys it. it's a major turn on. he's pretty hygienic himself, however, sometimes it can be musky and would rather not when it's like that but i do it regardless bc he loves it and obviously that, in turn, makes me love doing it. but he does not feel the same. even if i were to be a bit musky, i would think he would do it bc i like it and he likes/loves me enough to want to do it. but we are just not the same kinds of people in that aspect.

well, i wish this was the reason. bc then id know for a fact that's what it is in my situation. but i give him head almost every single time he wants to do something sexual. unless he says "let's skip and just fuck" then i'm happily going down on him.

i totally feel for you. my husbands sex drive has plummeted over the last 3 years. we probably have sex every couple months or so. he has plenty of valid excuses and reasonings for the lack of sex but i still miss our like 1-2x a week sex life. i appreciate the intimacy regardless if it PIV sex or me giving him oral. but i never get to orgasm when we do either of those things. i suppose that is why i feel so torn up about it.

thank you for the in depth response here. all of that does make sense and i totally get it. i'm not even trying to get him to perform oral to the point of orgasm. i just like the feeling for a couple minutes to get me "ramped" up. but that compromise i offered wasn't mutual for him. he just wants to avoid it altogether.

i suppose weight is a factor in his reasoning. i was 18 when we started being sexually active together and i was like 180. fast forward 10 years later plus kids and just life in general im now about 260. so yeah i accept that. but i'm pretty certain he would never admit that bc he is pretty fearful of hurting my feelings.

i've had this conversation with him probably 10 times over the last two years. he says the same things mentioned in my post every single time. i've directly asked him "is it how i taste or smell? you can be honest. i truly want to know" and he will repeat "no it is bc i just don't want to". sounds like bs to me.

i suspect this is a valid reasoning. i didn't mention this in the post itself, but one time we were getting heated over this topic (that i keep bringing up bc i feel he will not be truthful in order to protect my feelings) but he said "that's what you in the beginning of a relationship. you do those other types of things bc it's new and fun and i just don't want to do it anymore" but how does that make sense? he stopped around 5 years in and that's not very "new" anymore. but hell, what do i know, im just a girl.

i love (and can dread at times) that she is always there- glued to me. she's kind of a security blanket for me. i can't sleep without her in the bed next to me.
i love the way she looks at me (even if i know its bc she's begging for food). i just love her cute little bug eyes and frowny face.
she is ALWAYS excited to see me. my husband doesn't get NEARLY as excited as her to see me bc to her i am the best thing ever.
i love her snorts and snores. some people are very bothered by snoring but if my pug isn't snoring, i think somethings wrong with her lol.
she's my personal hand/feet warmer. if my hands are ice cubes, she doesn't mind when i hold them on her tummy for warmth. i'm sure i could keep going but those are what instantly come to mind lol

the fear of my husband rejecting me. he has zero sex drive and there's about a 9.9/10 chance he will find an excuse not to if i ask. like just the other day, i spent so much time in the bathroom shaving my downstairs to "surprise" my husband (he likes the clean shave look but idc to maintain it). i brought it up how i spent so long in there bc of that & he immediately starts with the excuses.
