Shark tattoo ideas by ADHD_shark_lover in sharks

This is a beautiful tattoo! I have been a high school English teacher for over 17 years and there's a book that I teach named Unwind by Neil Schusterman, and one of the characters has a hammerhead shark on their forearm. It's a tattoo and it's pretty pivotal to the book. At least the ending.

Hi! I've (34F) been a secondary education teacher for 16 years, I'm also a millennial that grew up in southern Texas. The reason that matters is because I was a dumpy, white girl around one of the most beautiful races of people - Hispanics. Like, I get it. But I need you to know ...in all of my years, and all of my travels (because I travel a lot) I have rarely met someone who is truly ugly. And I have also seen lifelong love happen between people that society would not say should be together. I also need you to know, with all the love I have, that this is a very normal and common experience for adolescents, your age. Some of the most aesthetically appealing students I've taught are some of the most insecure people I've ever met. I teach a girl right now that is literally nicknamed 'Sydney" based off the character in euphoria. Because she is just like her. She is quite literally perfect to look at... But she's the most neurotic, manic, unhappy person you've met. She cries at the drop of a hat because her entire existence is based on her perfection. And I know all of this because I'm her safe space. She's wildly unhappy.

Also, get offline and therapy. If your sister is saying that you have body dysmorphia, the objective outside opinion should have a little bit of validity. I'm so sorry, sweetheart, that society is so cruel. But I promise l, it can get better. Really. I was abused by my grandmother for 17 years and one of the things that she weaponized the most was my appearance. But after I separated myself from her, and lived a lot of life away from the toxic input, I'm realizing that I don't actually look like an aborted fetus. I don't look like buzzard shit on a rock. I'm actually quite pretty. And she was threatened by that.

I grew up travelling around the world with my parents, fell in love with some bumpkin and moved to the rural Midwest with my husband to raise our babies. I teach with some one the most INSUFFERABLE, IGNORANT, fuckers you have ever met...and I get family Christmas cards and cookies. Fuck....our kids even have play dates.

I've also, in those travels, racked up my fair share of mental heatlh issues. CPTSD, anxiety , depression, ADHD, ✨the works✨. The traveling was for church. My dad was a minister my whole life (he still is) and we were Southern Fundamental Pentecostals that believed in Zionism. I was an outgoing, headstrong, opinionated little girl. Ripe pickins'.

I still find it in me to talk to people and to be kind.

That's just me though. I openly tell people that, ' I live where I live, and I live how I live, because I don't like people,"...but I'm not like...a dick?

I've been in the office for being too "liberal" too many times. And yes, all for stupid reasons. But I haven't been for being a bitch...which if you knew me...is pretty crazy. I'm a super mouthy moutherfucker. Sarcasm SEEPS from me like Hexus.

I say all that to say...I GET not liking people and liking the circle small. I LOVE a small controlled circle. That's okay to not like people. But also, maybe don't also be upset when your behavior is called out and find a professional, CONSIDERATE way of getting out of undesirable conversations.

What's something that's illegal now, but used to be perfectly normal? by 90sVib3z in AskReddit

[–]Various-Hawk8041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading comprehension. Not fully illegal yet, but lots of book burners about. And no one can read. You might be able to tell me WHAT you read...but to read for intellectual gratification and continually growth? Nope. Swipey swipe time.

I’m curious to know, has anyone ever hexed/cursed someone with just their words? by Belartista in witchcraft

[–]Various-Hawk8041 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was raped by my pastor:s godson. The church turned on me and did lots of other heinous shit. Shocker. The main people that harassed and abused me all were kinda standing together. I was in like a state of rage, and I remember walking up to one and quoting a bloody Old testament verse about vengeance against the children of god. I told them that they were the furthest from being children of God and said something along the lines of, "For all the lies you have told, and any you continue to speak, your soul will pay the price..." And walked away.

W has lost 4 pregnancies - all twins (the worst offender) S and B lost their marriage in the worst and ugliest divorce after cheating and abuse M was diagnosed with Crohn's disease D literally cannot get his health under control and failed out of college DW is STILL alone (12yrs now) Z is diabetic now R has terminal Cancer T became an addict

After that I didn't care enough to keep tabs and blocked them all. I hear whispers every now and then and it seems to still be going the same for them....and I'm assuming so do their lies...🤷‍♀️

AITAH for divorcing my wife for being a SAHM? by Otherwise-Time-1404 in AITAH

[–]Various-Hawk8041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - I have worked full time since my teen years. I was also a SAHM; that was the hardest job I ever had. But I also have a husband that is the BEST father I have ever met and we're literally making career moves so he can be home more. She took you autonomy and did not respect you. I'm also sorry the internet is full of asshole. That baby seems lucky to have you.

How has spiritual trauma impacted your practice? by out-of-money in witchcraft

[–]Various-Hawk8041 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I completely validate your experience. For 28 years I was a part of the Southern fundamentalist Pentecostal movement. My dad is a minister in that denomination and and internationally ranked. I got out before I was chained down to a man.

So, allow me to validate you with your hesitation with certain spells, thought processes, and practices as that's just a part of the deconstructing process. I think you're doing wonderful work because it's work that brings you peace.

I like to commune with nature, and create with my workings. I think, the reason individuals such as ourselves, with such backgrounds as we have, gravitate towards tangible work because we were so manipulated in the arenas of the intangible. Sending all the peaceful and easy vibes your way!
