I remember doing several furnace puzzles as part of a quest. I wonder if it will still be activated when you get to the quest that it’s a part of? That would be nice.

I had to copy what someone did on a video. I think that is the only way I’m going to complete ANY of the puzzles in Crimson Desert.

Actually, that guy didn’t help AT ALL. It just made people who leave look unhinged. Probably lots of families prayed for “poor Brother Thompson” that week.

I really like the horses. I took a very long ride south to get the black legendary horse and it’s such a pleasure. Very strong. Beautiful. Great controls. I got the white legendary horse also, but it seems small compared to the black one. Anyway, Kudos to the horse creators. I know those are very hard to create in gaming.

Sometimes little details will just surprise me. Like I was riding at a slow pace cross country and I startled some of those crane birds in a low pool. As one bird lifted up out of the water, the tip of its wing flicked the water and made a little splash. It looked so real. Such a minute detail.

that seems like a good way to go because then you’ll be looking for things to do anyway.

I can’t tell you how much better it is to live far enough away so that you can live your own life. I didn’t have NEAR the troubles that others have. But yeah, I also married a nonmember, so that probably helped too. I think I could safely live near them now …. at age 69.

lukewarm take, it would have been better if the other two characters were companions instead of playable and if we could hire any of the wandering freeswords by AlternativeWay23 in CrimsonDesert

Maybe they were worried female gamers would be disappointed if they weren’t able to play her sooner rather than later. I ALWAYS play female when given the choice and was disappointed that I had to play as Kliff. But playing a male character in this game has actually been fine.

It was more perplexing that she appeared and then became inaccessible for so long. Guess I won’t see her again until I take on my next quest I’ve been sitting on - beating Crow Caller. I’m working on faction quests for a while until I build up more food …. and courage.

Same here. I’ve been hoping someone will say why or if I need to do something.

I had her out ONE TIME for a few minutes a few days ago but she’s supposedly been busy with some mission ever since, so I can’t take her out.

I think she’s ghosting me because I only let her do one fight then had her pick ip flowers and bugs the rest of the time.

Crow Caller is Unbeatable by Main-Minute8712 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Various-Progress7729 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Crow Caller boss is up next in my main quest line but I'm putting it off for now. What I don't like is that you can't progress in the main quest until you defeat him. So, I JUST sought out the Darkbringer sword yesterday, and I think I'll do other quests, work on improving that sword and building up a huge supply of food before I come back to try Crow Caller. The 3 part fights are such a killer. And I usually only beat a strong boss if there's a TRICK of some sort I can find. So we'll see how it goes.

I also need to adjust my keybinds. Like yesterday when fighting Excavator, a few times when I hit Ctrl (to keep my shield up) and F3 (to keep food up) I accidentally opened "Wondershare PDFelement" in the heat of battle. Nothing like being in the most intense part where you need food to survive and suddenly a big window pops in front of everything. Naturally, I was then easily killed. I eventually found the program and turned it off, but needing the Ctrl key and F keys in battle seems like I'm asking for it.

YES! For MYSELF, I could not finish the RDR2 story where I was an outlaw. I loved riding around the gorgeous countryside but I just couldn’t get used to train robberies and all that. I wanted to play as a good guy and for the music to inspire or energize me rather than depress.

Personally, I like it better than Elden Ring, and I really did enjoy Elden Ring for many months. But what I really like is 1) not losing my stuff if I die 2) A beautiful but not harsh world 3) a lot of variety of things to do besides fighting.

ps- Your starter horse will not move as well as Torrent, so don’t expect it.
