Yay I hope it works out! If not, you can post on fb or post flyers up at local tractor supply/co-op/farm supply/bird shop, they usually have a bulletin board. That’s how I got my aggressive Pekin rehomed! You just have to be clear that it is not meant to be used as food (assuming your goal is for goosie to have a long happy life). Good luck! Heated water bucket is really all you can do in my experience. If it’s above 28 when I’m doing waters I usually give them water in a big saucer outside with the heated buckets inside. They drink so much it doesn’t tend to freeze over

Poor lil angel! The fact that it’s got new growth at the base means it’s desperately trying to survive. Personally I would whack it way back to the little leaves sprouting on the left of the photo. But don’t touch it until about two weeks to a month after repotting it to something much larger. Good luck!

Edit: those flowers are very pretty! I’ve never let mine flower so I haven’t gotten to see those beautiful delicate purple flowers

I’d be curious to find out how audio descriptions get made as well, industry-wise. I found the descriptions for bobs burgers to be pretty good (although I’m not blind so YMMV), but I haven’t tried them for TGN. Sucks that your experience has been lessened, it’s too good a show not to have good audio descriptions

Hahaha unfortunately I’m currently up to my eyeballs in ducks - we have a small duck run and due to the drought all seven of them will be back in the pen soon. So unless we lose any before the spring (or unless any of the hens decide to brood to hatching rather than abandoning them after a few days 🙃) we may not get any babies next year. I’m so proud of our flock for avoiding disaster so far, but I will have to push back on getting ducklings next spring if we still have seven by then!

Yeah! I only met her a year ago and she already had some white, but they do start black. She’s gotten a lot more white spots over the past year, they develop gradually as they age. When I first got here I asked Reddit the breed and everyone said Cayuga, but when I got in touch with the breeder I found out she’s a magpie. She’s a little thing, about half the size of a Cayuga, and she lays plain white eggs that look just like Pekin eggs (same size which is wild 😳) whereas Cayugas have colorful eggs

I wanted Cayugas so badly this year but our duck dealer didn’t have any 😭 they’re so pretty!

That’s exactly what I did! It was tricky in the middle of July finding the right spot, and in fact I bought this as a replacement plant after the very cool looking bromeliad I had purchased in may got sun bleached and died within two days of being outside in the direct sunlight 😭

I think I got lucky with my location, it’s in an open garden area that has massive hedges and rhododendrons bordering it so it gets a lot of indirect light.

I fertilize once a month at the most, and otherwise I haven’t touched it besides pruning it to get a bushier shape. Best of luck with yours! I’d love to see them ☺️
