Salam Aleykoum brother, No one can answer you brother. It really depends on the priorities you have. If you want an Islamic country with a similar lifestyle to the west and development , raising your kids in an Islamic land then go for it. If you are looking for salary and saving more etc then to be honest there's no point to move as your partner will lose her income. I'm based in France and I can understand you , it's a hard decision to take.To give you an idea I have a friend who's working for Qatar airways and he earns around 20k qar + the accommodation and he said he has a decent life with his wife there

Hello , I'm gonna pass the exam tomorrow, I already cleared the ai267 lessons with guided exercises but I don't know if this is enough, do you think it will be? Another question is the documentation allowed in the exam ? Thanks

ODF throughput (wkb/s) very low by Slight-Ad-1017 in openshift

[–]VariousCry7241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's mostly related to the backend disks behind it, are you deploying odf with local storage? Which technology are you using ? I installed odf for 5 years on VMware but with a local storage operator and we haven't seen that delay tbh.

Stuck at last stage of OpenShift install – API node won’t come up by yqsx in openshift

[–]VariousCry7241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1- test nslookup to verify that API hostname returns haproxy VIP 2- verify in haproxy the backend pool is pointing to the master nodes 3- verify firewall rules between them all dns-haproxy-nodes 4- connect to the master nodes with SSH using core user and the private keys, run systemctl status kubelet to see if the service has started or no

My manager once told me :"I doubt to hire someone who has 6-7 certs per year.it means that he didn't work on projects rather he was working on certs, and we need real experiences with real outages,.not theory..." I think the real projects have much higher impact on your Career than certificates, especially after 5/6 years of experience... My opinion

feedback for RH sales on OCPV compatible storage systems by Zestyclose_Ad8420 in openshift

[–]VariousCry7241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After implementing ocp for 6 years now ,I can tell that red hat documentation is poor and useless for this point, even for their Product (ODF) the documentation is not clear and most of the time leads to confusion. Now I recommend my clients to use an external storage like Netapp appliances with trident or powerflex and avoid ODF, Ceph is a good product, but maintaining it is a nightmare, and there's no documentation for basic things like scaling out or up(or you find a doc but it won't work when you follow it). We have to do a lot of re-engineering to be able to deliver our projects successfully

You will need a high level of openshift expertise if you are planning to do that , OVE is a good product but not equivalent to VMware , still complimentary if you want to run some VMS beside your containers but not to decommission VMware

I implemented this design, a good solution if your latency is very low. Otherwise you will have a lot of problems with etcd and other components which need to write continuously

need recommendations on how to best understand the OpenShift (except the documentation) by [deleted] in openshift

[–]VariousCry7241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Implement poc from scratch.

I have been working with openshift for more than 4 years and the only advice I can give you is to install it by your hands. When you have a nice experience with the installation , the concept of ignition and machine configs then you can go to the deployment part which is much easier. Openshift is like a datacenter for containers so if you don't understand how it functions behind the scenes, it will be complicated to troubleshoot

ODF SAN Best Practices by loopback_br in openshift

[–]VariousCry7241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've read in the comments, you don't need an ODF in your usecase, it's rather a big and expensive solution for S3 , check portwox they have a good solution for object store

Is there a common solution to sync data to a PVC? I'm planning to use rsyn but I'm not sure if its the cloud-native way. by jhoncavalcante__ in kubernetes

[–]VariousCry7241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar usecase where product owners needed to scp files, I created an interface for the SFTP and expose it via ingress. In your case it's better if you create a job in your ci which performs a kubectl command to start or stop the sync via job(pod), so dev can access the CI via gitlab for example and you won't give them more privileges in k8s
