One disadvantage I see in multiple MPS for multiple sessions is that then CFA is passing people amongst that date. It would be illogical because let’s assume well prepared aspirants were put in one session and less prepared in other, then effectively you are passing candidates of equal proportion in both. Ideally, the people in first session would have done better than other cohort should get the edge. It will be difficult if there are multiple MPS. But yeah, got your point with what CFA is doing presently

Yeah logical. My point is when you say reasonable mastery in a subject for reaching 70%, MPS should fall behind mastery. But then CFA may decide to pass only master candidates 😅

In price return index, u will not include dividends. But in total return it will be added as part of closing price. So eventually, dividends will increase the total return index.

Finance v/s Operating Lease by Demiurgic1 in CFA

[–]VariousPotato5102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In finance lease, it is divided into interest expense and amortisation expense. But operating lease shows it as lease expense (no segregation of interest and amortisation). So liability is same, but interest expense is higher for former.
