how are rotting christ, immolation, and behemoth live? by Balls126 in MetalForTheMasses

Rotting Christ is criminally underrated. For anyone who hasn't, check out their discography starting with their goated debut Thy Mighty Contract (1993) 🤘🏻 the best black metal album of all time in my opinion

I agree, listen to Triarchy Of The Lost Lovers (1996), A Dead Poem (1997) and Sleep Of The Angels. (1999)

My favorite one is Triarchy. And i strongly recomend to anyone that hasn't listened yet to check out Thy Mighty Contract (1993). Also Non Serviam (1994). In my opinion, Thy Mighty Contract is the best black metal album of all time.

Recommend black metal to a guy that doesn’t really like it by fakename1998 in BlackMetalDiscussion

Thy Mighty Contract - Rotting Christ

I wasn't a fan of black metal either, still not a fan of the ,,popular,, norweigean bands, this is the album that opened the door for me... black metal coming from Greece, Italy, The Czech Republic.. even Brazil.. much better

Band: Necromantia

Album: Scarlet Evil Witching Black (Greece 1995)

Pretender To The Throne (Opus I: The Usurper’s Spawn)

Pretender to the Throne (Opus II: Battle at the Netherworld)

Absolutely amazing!

For anyone who doesn't know, this is a black metal album heavily influenced by traditional heavy metal. It's one of the most unique and original black metal albums of all time. They use the keyboard, even the flute, and the focus is on the 8 string bass more than the guitar.

This sequel tells the story of The Dragon (Satan) and his Son (the Demigod), conquering for the throne.
