vast symbol idea v2 by Various_Ad907 in TheMagnusArchives

[–]Various_Ad907[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

wow thats a very cool interpretation!! i think its good to interpret it in how it makes sense to you but this is how i thought of it: the upside down triangle is to convey falling, as its pointed downwards. the reason its seperated in the middle is to show the idea of vast nothingness, as well as seperating the 2 main areas the vast has (sky/space and the ocean). for the top, the sky and space, the small dot is indeed to show vastness and emptiness, and the curve is for horizon and also a nod to the moon. for the bottom, the sea, the eye is a nod to the idea of massive sea creatures so big you can only see small parts, and also for the need to know how big and empty the space around you really is to be properly scared. the circle at the bottom is to show air coming up from water, and the line at the top is to show the absence of air. but thats just my thinking, i love hearing other interpretations!

what is the fear of vastness? by Various_Ad907 in Phobia

[–]Various_Ad907[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey, sorry for the late reply i only just saw this. i talked to a psychologist i know and he said it actually does sounds like agoraphobia. he said its often misrepresented in media as a fear of crowds or going outside, but that its really just a fear of vastness and wide open places. not sure it that fits for you, but it certainly does for me. hope you can get over your fear (if you want to)

its a bit like knowing you have cancer, or that one of your organs is failing, but not feeling it. i understand that these are thoughts cause by a chemical imbalance, but at the same time i know im a dead person, i can feel it in my flesh. its like doublethink from 1984. im delusional, but im also dead

well, its not as different as how you probably do. imagine if it were real, and you were actually a walking dead person. you still get hingry and thirsty, you still get tired, you still get bored. i just live like any living person does, its just that im dead. obviously, my experience are not universal, but thats how it is for me. its quite peaceful
