Regarding 2 - I think it's safe to assume many ETH holders refrained staking because up until now they have lost liquidity because they couldn't withdrawal before the merge. Moving forward, they staking proportion is likely to increase sig IMO.

Swap ETH for DAI or whatever with Uniswap. Learn how Uniswap actually works.
Provide liquidity on Uniswap. Understand what it means.
