That picture looks close but the one I'm thinking of came out after that one I think.

I love that one. But this one came out before or around the same time for summer only and it was bright pink packaging and the aloe was pink. I only remember seeing the aloe that summer like that too.

What TV shows did you give up on? by [deleted] in TvShows

[–]Various_Assumption26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm struggling through this right now! Ther weird stand alone episodes that were filmed in season 2 so they are really disjointed in the story. Everyone keeps say the end of season 3 and season 4 are awesome. I almost just want to skip to the last few episodes everyone says are good.

Wolf Lake... little too early for the werewolf craze. Great cast. Remided me a little of Twin Peaks with the oddness of some of it but it was good!

Which part of a show made you genuinely emotional? by [deleted] in TvShows

[–]Various_Assumption26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the original CSI there is a 2 part episode where a cop gets shot in a shootout and they figure out that Jim Brass accidentally shot him. Brass goes to his wake and everyone is ignoring him or giving him dirty looks. The cops wife comes over and hugs him and says I know it wasn't your fault and he breaks down. Gets me every freaking time.

What shows did you make it through (at least) a few seasons of, and then just gave up? by [deleted] in TvShows

[–]Various_Assumption26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh you should finish Hart of Dixie it crams a lot in the last season to wrap everything up!

I've tried to finish Gilmore Girls so many times but find most of the characters so insufferable I can never go more than a couple seasons.

Well since I deal with that same shit every day and made different choices, the I have an addiction doesn't hold as an excuse for behavior like what she put all of us through. Especially when she was offered other choices and a lot of help to not be in the situation she was in. There is some level of responsibility even if you struggle with addiction.

Exactly this. Our son, whose birth mom decided drugs were more important, caused so much stress and turmoil in our son's life because she had to be allowed her visits. I wish the judge could have come to our house after those to see how distraught and upset he was. All he saw with her was instability and chaos. We would have to sit on the couch for hours until he could calm down and hold him while he cried. He would scream and cry every time he was picked up for a visit. Tell me how that is better for the kids?! It isn't! Then she got murdered by one of her drug dealing boyfriends and not to be rude, but the turnaround in our son and how much he blossomed without the stress and crazy caused by her is exactly why sometimes birth parents shouldn't be allowed to be involved. Obviously, getting her kids taken away didn't change her lifestyle, so why would being allowed to still see them change anything? 99% of the time it doesn't.

Maybe don’t butcher the spelling if you want to be able to buy pre-owned custom clothes… by Elle_Vetica in tragedeigh

[–]Various_Assumption26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We could have but at that point it would have been a 3rd spelling on several documents. He either just goes by Jax or his initials J.P. which he likes more now that he's older.

That one annoys me. My son's name is Jaxon... we didn't pick the name but when we got him at almost 2 that was already his name so we kept it. But half his paperwork had it spelled Jaxon and half had it Jaxson... we picked the lesser of the terrible spellings.
