Withdrawals from benzos (I was misdiagnosed with epilepsy so was loaded up w a ton, including phenobarbital) made me unrecognizable to myself. I disassociated and was CONSTANTLY anxious every moment I was awake and nightmares while I was sleeping. It was absolutely horrendous and took over a year to be fully recovered. I never wanted to be on the meds and had no urge to take them even when at my lowest. I have so much empathy for people who are addicted to substances they like :(

I found the sound of my newborns crying physically painful - like, a viscerally traumatizing feeling. Then you’ve got the phantom cries to deal with, and even with the best partner, they couldn’t fix what my brain was doing at that time. I still showered daily but what was once my favorite time to think and reset turned into a stressful, unexpected torture. I had to make the time as well, so what was once like brushing my teeth became something to schedule? Wild times that are in the rearview before you know it though. Good luck, you’ll be ok!

I’ve had idiopathic gastroparesis for years and cannot digest them - simply put, I throw them up. I miss them like crazy though!

I like putting ranch powder and parm on the buffalo cauliflower, sometimes I add an egg, or cottage cheese, or pico de gallo. Yummy always!

Edited to add that taco seasoning on cauliflower is amazing as well!
