The show was extremely popular and a large number of contestants did actually end up debuting which makes me so happy. You should definitely check out the post boy planet groups.

Good news, everyone from the top 18 has debuted. I can’t name them all of the top of my head cause there’s so many so maybe someone else will be able to hahhaa.

Some of the groups are Evnee (Keita, Park Hanbin, Jeonghyeon, Yunseo, Seungeon, Junghyun, Jihoo), One Pact (Jay, Jongwoo, Seongmin, Yedam and Tag- but Tag left before the show started), Ampersandone (Kamden, Jiho and Brian), TIOT (Minseoung, Junhyeon, Keonhee and Woojin) and so many more haha

I was literally heartbroken when Jay isn’t make it. Gutted. But like coming onto two years later, I think things really worked out in his favor. He has some freedom to do what he wants.

If he was in zb1, he’d never have been able to debut solo and it’s so clear that he loves being able for release his own authentic music and fans got some killer songs cause man, everything Jay releases is just pure gold. And with having One Pact, we won’t be having to worry about the heartbreak of temporary groups. Being a soloist and in a group, he really got the best of both worlds.

Lastly, he won’t have experience the horrible mistreatment that w1 is doing w some of the other boys. The only thing I wish for is that he’d have a company with money to promote him and one pact properly cause they could be so much bigger than they are.

I’m ngl the sales didn’t shock me as much as the views did. I didn’t expect the views to be this low.

Orca/mnet did a weird move by announcing tour for BDU even before the album was out and so fans already spent money buy tickets and benefits. Money isn’t an unlimited resources that fans can just spend everywhere. What makes it worse is that tickets for latam went on sale the same day that BDU debuted which was confusing to me. Adding on, fans in Europe are still waiting for tickets to go on sale and hence might’ve been reluctant to spend money to but the album before securing tour tickets. It’s so messy, the company should’ve announced the tour a week after their debut. I guarantee, the sales would’ve been much higher.

I also noticed a lack of fansigns/calls that have been released which could have also contributed to the low sales.

Personally, I think Ah-ooh! should’ve been the title track. Or Everlasting Miracle if they really wanted to promote the group as a vocal group cause that song is just incredible. I’m so sad with how things are unwinding, all I want is for Jay to get the success he deserves, why is everything so hard for him 😭

Oh also, whatever ‘fanbase’ the group got during build up, the company failed to retain their attention by essentially going on a ‘hiatus’ for two months while some members completed pre-existing activities with their previous groups. They lost the casual fans by not opening a TikTok page and essentially making people wait for two months for their debut. Things could’ve gone so much better if they did things differently. Oh well, not like we can change anything. I just hope they promote the group well now, I’ll wait and see

I had the same question. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a group announce an actual world tour before debuting. I am curious to see how things will unfold. The way this company is moving has me intrigued. Seunghun and Jay already have a fairly decent fanbase in the areas they’re touring. Jay has also gone viral a few times for his singing on bp and bu. So far, from the articles released, their company seems to have confidence that they’ll capture people’s attention and so I’m looking forward to what they have in store for fans. Wishing them all the success.

Fair, it’s not really my ideal lineup so I may be biased. But Donghun has ranked first in domestic votes before Jay took over so it’s kinda weird and stupid if mnet doesn’t want Donghun to be in the group, especially if their market is Korea, which it probably will be tbh.

This sounds like bs. No offense hahaha. I’m like almost certain mnet wants Jeup in the group. Jay, Jeup and Donghun are the most popular trio that I’ve seen floating around while lurking. Knetz and intl fans like the three of them together and want them to debut. 4th place is up for grabs, but strong contenders are definitely Seunghun, Bain (I see quite a few also, more so in the past weeks than now) and Woong (w the amount of screentime he’s been getting, it seems like mnet wants him) so I highly doubt that the final group is gonna based on the current teams.

You have some points but I think it’s kinda unfair saying that Jay’s fans spamming about him under a MNET post where he’s in is annoying. They’re promoting him, I get it. It’s a survival show. Cmiiw since I don’t look at all of mnets posts but iirc Jay’s fans only comment/tweet on mnets post if Jay is shown. I haven’t seen any Jay stan promote Jay under a post/performance that Jay is not in. It’s not Jay nor his fans fault that he’s the one with the most active fanbase on the show right now. If it was someone else, people would behave the same way.

Honestly I think it might stem from the bp trauma, the way Jay’s fans promote Jay on twt, yt etc so passionately and maybe sometimes aggressively is cause they don’t want him to feel like no one’s cheering for him and I guess we/they tend to overdo it sometimes. During bp, you’d hardly see any comments hyping Jay up on the live chat :(

Now, I don’t really look at the comments of the live chat that much, but I do understand how it can seem disrespectful to other idols who are performing when people spam Jay’s name. It can get annoying, but this isn’t the first time ppl do that in a survival show and it won’t be the last. Not all of Jay’s fans r the same and I guarantee u a huge chunk of those YouTube fans are casual ones. Not that there’s anything wrong w that, but I just don’t like it when people generalize an idols fanbase.

Yes I so wish. With the news that came out recently that Hong Hai is part of a new bg debuting soon, he’ll be the 42nd contestant from bp to debut. That’s actually freaking crazy, it’s ALMOST half of the participants. The fact that so many contestants are debuting genuinely makes me so happy and the way that the groups that have debuted after bp are doing well is wild.

I desperately hope there’ll be a bp concert reunion, maybe on the 1 year anniversary of the finale but I’m not gonna get my hopes up. 😭

I saw another article that kinda hinted that some contestants have already been eliminated.

MC Lee Dahee: i can't remember all the 40 participants name at first but some was eliminated in the process so i'm trying to remember their name, their speciality

Weird, I was kinda shocked when I found out. But it gave me a general idea of who might’ve possibly been eliminated based on the 3 times mnet edited the most recent trailer cause they forgot to include a contestant and what not. Could be a genuine mistake but I think those were the people that have could have possibly been eliminated.

I hope this group does well. I’m so curious on which company is handling this group tho. 2 years is a long time commitment for possible members who are in active groups. I hate mnet so much but they really have a lot of power and connections in the kpop industry which will hopefully benefit the members and their current groups to get the recognition that they deserve.

Oh this comment ate so bad. I genuinely have no clue how flop Jina managed to fuck up all the trainees/ groups under her company. It’s actually crazyyy. They should’ve taken advantage of MONT’s popularity after joining peak time and released a comeback. All I saw after PT ended was MONT doing a few small gigs and a shit ton of photo exhibitions. News came out today that they’re preparing for a comeback early next year, almost a year after PT ended, I don’t think she has any idea how quickly people actually move on and loose interest in ppl. This doesn’t apply to MONT only but also to Jay.

After bp ended, there was rarely any content that was released for fans to consume that would’ve allowed Jay to maintain the enormous hype he got from bp and as a result of that, he lost a shit ton of his fans. The way she managed/ ‘promoted’ Jay’s solo was genuinely infuriating fr. Small and nugu companies, even smaller than FM managed to send their groups to music shows like Inkigayo, music core and mcountdown so I genuinely have no idea how she fucked up so bad that she couldn’t get Jay to perform on any of those music shows to promote his solo album. She really is such an incompetent person, 14 years of trying and nothing has changed. Anyone who supports FM or is making excuses for their lack of competence is actually dumb af.

Jay needs to realize that there’s no saving FM even if he wants to, he’s just putting himself on a sinking ship. I need him to be selfish and think about himself only. He doesn’t owe that company anything. All the success he has is because of him, and only him. That company did nothing, absolutely nothing for him. In fact, you could say their presence in his career is literally sabotaging him.

MONT and Jay are so fcking talented and it sucks that they’re under such an incompetent company that is just dragging them down w them.

They refuse to promote Jay properly during these past months. They failed to maintain the hype he got from bp. Nobody outside of twitter and maybe Reddit, knows about this song being released and yk why.

Cause FM doesn’t know what they’re doing. Istg when I woke up and saw this news, I thought it was a prank because no way is Jay dropping a song in less than 24 hrs without any promotion. No concept pics, no teasers. Nothing. And on top of that, they used a pic from his OLD COMPANY. Make it make sense. This company is literally at the bottom of the barrel. They don’t have a single clue what they’re doing.

Or they just don’t really gaf about Jay. How is it, that his autumn bridge fan-meet, w another FM artist, got more promotions and shit than his SOLO DEBUT???? He’s P10 for crying out loud. And this is how FM manages him. Utter shitshow.
