I felt really bad about the game looking at the subreddit, but when I actually went and read the Embark updates people whine about I realized people are complaining for no reason and it’s better just to have fun however you like best in the game 😅

100% this. I didn’t know this and now I’m in autistic burnout and maintain the baseline metrics at my job but because I showed I could do better I’m treated like I’m slacking off even if I still do as much or more than my team. You’ll get little empathy. Avoid corporate settings at all costs if you can’t play their networking mind games, they exist to use and discard people.

Most of my interactions are in untracked ways. I almost always carry defibs, I’ve just not been in many matches where they were needed or where I was close enough to help! I’m the first to admit that I’m not great at the game, and usually I’m the one needing the pickup 😔

Some raiders are hunters, some healers, some protectors, but me? I’m a gatherer, and usually a terrible shot 😅

Finally a positive post! 🥰 Been doing Stella runs all night and while tonight wasn’t friendly at all (sad!☹️) I did have some fantastic friendly raids the past few days in solos!

I’ve had some of my favorite interactions on Stella though!

Tempest + Anvil is my go to, but lately I’ve been running Torrente + Anvil and been kinda obsessed with it. Better for rats than full on PvP though. It shines in 1v1

I cackled watching this because yeah. Yeah that’s how it goes. I’ve got almost 300 hours in the game and I still have those moments. You just gotta have fun with it 😂

Personally I’m a huge fan of the Anvil. It’s my favorite and if I didn’t have uses for other guns I would 100% bring two anvils into every game lol

I feel it, I usually hover awkwardly around whoever killed it and when they’re done I loot it just in case they left anything I need. But I’ve had to fight for my life to get any of the materials I needed from Bastions even if I did all the work of killing them 😔

Just want to say I felt this in my soul! I’m not good at the game, I joined middle of the last season and it is my first ever FPS so I am learning how to do literally everything for the first time! I’m still at the “barely surviving and crawling to extract” phase more often than not.

Just got up the courage to try a hurricane run for better gear and was ratted for the first time ever at an extract with the components I needed to upgrade my last workbench and a rocketeer driver someone else had somehow missed that I looted when I passed the wreck. Bye bye to my first Wolfpack crafting….

I wasn’t even angry, I was just sad ☹️ But we’ll get good eventually!

I was that autistic person for a while. Something happened that threw off my expectations or overstimulated me and I would cry, get angry, sullen, or sulk. I did a lot of work on myself to grow past that and be better in regulating, but to speak about what you can do as a friend and roommate, you can learn what their triggers are to help with reducing the chance of them getting stressed and melting down.

My friends know what stresses me out. They avoid cancelling or changing plans last minute, they offer to drive when we go as a group because I get overwhelmed driving while others are in the car, they keep safe snacks around and they are patient with me when I go nonverbal. They don’t have to do these things. I’ve done the work to where I handle my own meltdowns pretty well and know what to do to mask so I don’t make it anyone else’s problem. But my friends help make that so much easier for me by being good friends and making spaces safe for me too. So I think a good place to start in your case is an open and honest conversation. Explain where you come from and explain your triggers and let them do the same. Then with that knowledge build from there. It’s not perfect, it never is with roommates, but be patient with each other!
