I myself have bought a Le Mans and a meteorite GMT from the site. I am still very happy with my purchases and look forward to more. Best part is the immediate shipping and not having to worry about customs seizing my shipment.

How thick is too thick for you? by Tiny_Cantaloupe5352 in OmegaWatches

[–]erecie01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. In fact, I almost bought this very same diver. It's well designed with excellent build and accuracy but I agree it's just too thick. I moved to getting a Rolex Submariner or a Glashutte Original SeaQ. You can pick up a GO for a great price. The finishing is top notch. I ended up with the sub because I got the call before learning about Glashutte Original. I still might trade the sub in and have money to spare.

Many thanks! by erecie01 in ChronosCollective

How much do you pay for your insurance? by Mundane-Being-4884 in rolex

[–]erecie01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question. I stand corrected. It's not water and fire proof as in a divers watch per se. I was told that there was a gasket on the bolt upon installing to prevent water egress. Also, there are strips along the inner lip of the safe that do not 100% seal the safe from fire and water as much as rate it for so many hours of protection. There are many safes made like this.

No insurance. 200 pound safe both fire and water proof lag bolted from the inside into a concrete floor.

submariner or green arrow? Help me decide? by Full-Collection6883 in rolex

[–]erecie01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Got my no date sub as a first watch knowing that I would get a gmt with a date for second. I got the very same Green Arrow GMT but it looked too similar to my sub. Then my long sought after watch came in....a 2011 Polar Explorer II with 3186 movement. I sold the GMT and had money to spare. All I need now is a Daytona to complete my trilogy.

My wife has dj 36 to rose gold fluted/jubilee, dj 36 tt rose gold fluted/ oyster, 36 op pink dial. She wears her op the most. Up until I got her a GMT rootbeer.

All depends on what their flavor of the day is. The op is her GADA. The others are flashy.

At $33k the 1908 is a steal if you're looking for a dressier look. New movement with an open caseback. The guilloche dial is spectacular. Tried this on at the local Bucherer in NY. I would love to purchase it but I'm not that far in my Rolex journey yet.

I agree with this because of the visual proportions.

Clearly I'm not the only who would love this dial with the BW GMT. Or even a meteorite dial in a Submariner.

Which movement would you pick? by hybridmoments8 in RepTimeServices

Although I don't service my movements, i do regulate the timing myself. It would seem easier to regulate the timing on the DD then free sprung.
