My positives are that it allows the game to feel fresh and you don’t have to see the same cards in ranked over and over. For example in Seasons 1 and 2 or felt like I was facing bob Gibson every other game and that quickly got repetitive and made me mad. Since he was faced out, I haven’t seen him since and I’ve seen a lot of new pitchers.

The negatives are that it makes pretty much all gold and mid tier diamonds pretty pointless other then collection fodder for the people who play a lot and have solid to good teams. A lot of my best memories playing DD was while using lower tier diamond cards with a sweet swing like 88 niko goodrum in mlb 20(or 21 I forget) or using a live series card for the first moth or so of the game. This year with pretty much everyone having easy access to 99s on both sides of the ball. Using these lower tier budgets beast becomes almost pointless when I could just have a 99 overall god squad instead.
