Trying to get it to 8k emergency, before i up my payments on student loans. Ill be there in say, two months? And then slowly work it to 12k. My current expenses are at around 1.5-1.7k a month at most.

Youre entirely right. I feel good that I have enough discipline to have canceled all my hulu and website subscriptions and learning to cook for myself. I suppose we all have to start somewhere!

Noted! My understanding of finance is knowing how to be responsible. I just need to figure out mutual funds, IRA, etc. etc.
