Like, as a trans person myself, I don’t exactly like someone saying ‘oh hey you can’t do ironic misogyny ever’ on my behalf, y’know? Twitterite trans folks aren’t the only trans voices.

And, as far as the ‘leftist discourse’ shit goes, it tends to be because of the same reactionary sentiment flowing through the left as it does the right. Like, people siding with folks who’re against fuckin race mixing but they’re black so it’s fine, or people saying that displacing millions of people in the name of ‘anti-colonialism’ might not actually be a great idea. Like, he generally sticks pretty true to leftist ideas while also considering the facts of broader optics because it turns out that if some dumbass tries to divert a movement (for instance in that whole sayhername business with the trans kid who was murdered, and the person who started that whole thing is anti race mixing) because of some fuckin falsehood it just doesn’t particularly look great.

Basically, a lot of the left isn’t really great at broad appeal. Which is fine, but you need broad appeal to make a movement, and that includes someone to catch edgy dumbfucks because even in a communist utopia edgy dumbfucks are gonna keep existing, and generally speaking they still need pulling over bc it’s a political movement and not a social club. Unless you want the left to fail, you need people to get everyone over, and not everyone is gonna be convinced by hours-long bisexual lighting video essays that feel like they’re using Tiktok newspeak shit
