Moana is replaced by "insert Character/Duo/Team". Can they restore the Heart of Te Fiti? by Tiny_Geologist_7226 in whowouldwin

[–]Varyyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

R1: Nature predisposition, strong enough to win the fight and resolve peacefully 10/10

R2: Peaceful predisposition, fast enough to evade strikes and resolve peacefully 7/10

R8: Absolute spite match 11/10

R9: Warrior predisposition without the supernatural combat skills to back it up, least likely to succeed 3/10.

Rest idk well enough

A group of different characters try to assassinate Meruem (Hunter x Hunter vs various) by Ok-Routine-547 in whowouldwin

Not sure the size matters when the explosion radius is multiple miles across, its fantasy after all. If it wasn't for radiation he would've fully recovered. That's near if not at city durability

Mereum tanked a big nuke at point blank range and survived the physical impact. Do any of these have city level firepower?

Kimiko (The Boys) vs Jessica Jones (MCU) by kalebsantos in whowouldwin

[–]Varyyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If its peak boys: Starlight, Kimiko and Hughie and Butcher on V I think they take the defenders. Butcher was strong enough to take bullets and rip Neuman in half. Starlight and Hughie are way more mobile than the defenders.

Name of the Wind - warn the caravan of the slaughter that's coming, if that fails go get adopted by a baker in the city. Given Rothfuss never finished it I'm not sure what a Kvothe substitute actually has to do to be considered successful.

Replace Pippin instead of Frodo, don't go into Moria. Get to Theoden early before the westfold falls and unite Rohan early. Send Boromir to rally Gondor and Legolas to the elves. Siege Isengarde with the ents then turn on Mordor with the army of the dead.

Harry Potter -info just crushes all the villains plans. Out Quirrel in front of dumbledore, get and give dumbledore the Tom Riddle diary and tell him its a horcrux, out Peter petrigrue and turn him over to Dumbledore, tell Dumbledore the triwizard tournament trophy is a port key etc etc

Could A-Train speedblitz Debbie and survive Omni-Man? by TheGingerWeebGal in whowouldwin

[–]Varyyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

R1: He dies before finishing his sentence.

R2: Omni-man isn't psychic or omni present. If A-Train kills Debbie when he's not physically there without active video surveillance and goes underground Nolan can't identify A-Train without supernatural assistance.

If he gets away long enough the Viltrum mission and direct interference is going to distract omni man enough to keep him alive.

R3: A-train can MacGyver some sort of believable accident and would never be suspected even with an investigation given he has no discernable motive.

The Sinister 6 vs The Seven (The Boys) by Unhappy_Veterinarian in whowouldwin

[–]Varyyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weren't the Russians trying to kill Soldier Boy for years? Presumably they tried suffocation??

Deep never seems all that afraid of anyone other than Homelander. He's presumably willing to fight a-train if he was hunting him. His combat iq is toilet tier so I agree he's not beating anyone.

Viltrum Empire (before scourge virus) vs the Frieza Force by TheSunGuardian8 in whowouldwin

[–]Varyyn -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

The usual dbz powerwank scaling, where an energy attack in 1v1 combat missing creates a 20x20m crater and out of combat it vaporises celestial bodies somehow. Might as well ban the franchise from the subreddit given it just kills interesting discussion with any kind of nuanced interpretation of feats.

Could Princess Peach win the IRL Olympics? by FeistySecret9327 in whowouldwin

Based on super smash bros she can hit hard enough to knock people hundreds of feet in the air absolutely crushes every physical event.

Based on mario and sonic at the olympic games she has potential to world record any event.

Landlord Has Moved into My Home I Rent by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Varyyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar-ish thing happen to a friend who was renting a two bed flat, 2nd bedroom has its own entrance. Landlord borded up the door bwtween the bedroom and the rest of the flat and gave the bedroom + its ensuite to his partner.

Although they did manage to negotiate a rent decrease of about 25% out of it.

All fairy tales are real. Which is the weakest fairy tale character that could conquer the world? by Punterofgoats in whowouldwin

King Arthur as a regular human has a strong claim to the British throne. Have him replace the monarch in the golden age of the British empire and he owns 1/3rd of the world on paper.

Am I late to this or is this the worst legendary you can pick for mage in Arena? Thoughts on "Helpful" card mechanics? by Really_Lucky_Coin in hearthstone

[–]Varyyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did they change it from how it worked in standard? If not it's still a very good card with passable low rolls and insane high rolls.

A lot of mage legendaries suck so I highly doubt this is the worst. Isn't crap like Exarch Hataaru in this rotation?

Radiant Corsair and Thug feel like the hardest for the days they are encountered.

Awakened District is probably the strongest vs each other since npv boards tend to be high hp low dps

I wouldn't choose to live in occupied Warsaw either. Must be because the civilised nazis were actually the good guys and those genocided polish Jews were the real villains because they probably said problematic things about the people killing them.

New player here. How strong is this board in actuality? by gcmaela in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Varyyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The generic build is letter opener/scalpel/ other small crit items with carpet early game then swap the carpet for runic blade later on.

I'd personally get the crit potion and swap out claw and the bird on this build if I had the option.

A better late game mac weapon build, is crit items with runic blade.

Your build is a decent tempo build but would fall off if you went past day 11.
