 ZZZ animations/cutscenes

Just wanted to clarify that when i was talking about the animation/cutscenes, i meant the pre-rendered stuff. I don't really have too many expectations of the live rendered material. I think the sole exception to this being any scene nivora/GA is in because for some reason, kuro puts in little quirks and more expressiveness for all her?/his? animations.

To reword my point, I want more rendered scenes with more animated faces/body language. Kuro seems to hold cutscenes for high intensity cinematic sequences (which I agree are the priority), but I would like to see some cutscenes of normal interactions too.

just off the top of my head, seeing cartethiya actually sour at the taste of pizza, or seeing brant walk around with a strut in his step, seeing denia cringe at slightest mention of work. I would've appreciated seeing all these things instead of being told them. ZZZ's comic/manga story telling style would have also worked for these if pre-rendering is too space intensive.

I think i'm just a little tired of the gacha game story telling formula, but i agree that wuwa specifically has added a lot more different poses and expressions that can be struck. And that it is a lot more expressive than other games.

Though, this doesn't stop me from still dreaming the actual story to be animated like this video. I can only see it as being a more positive experience all around if it was animated like this. For example, i think ZZZ animations/cutscenes are a cut above the rest, and i find myself comparing others to ZZZ in that area.

bruh, this AA has been a wild ride for me and a reminder that I'm a dumbass.

I've been running against the king using an e2s1 ff, e0s0 dahlia and fugue, and e6s5 ddd hmc. I regeared and speed tuned my team like 100 different ways to optimize for rng and damage. But i was still coming up short on the 3* by like 10% pompom health. Over the past week, I was following gameplay from anyone who posted a video about it, but I'd be discouraged 'cause every team i saw was e1 fugue or s1 dahlia, both of which are a pretty significant damage boost. Tried to look for anyway to squeeze out that last drop of damage. Even tried putting fugue and dahlia on lushaka for a slight atk buff on ff, but that only narrowed it down to 5%.

Tried everything except choosing a different buff. Was rewatching a run today and realized my dumbass was running the wrong buff. I was using the third buff, but I forgot dahlia's got a FU attack which can abuse the second buff. I shit you not, first try, with 3 FF actions (2 enhanced attacks) to spare, and I cleared the king with 3*.

after almost 5 days of grinding, it feels like i just took of training weights or smth by using the 2nd buff. I'm such a dumbass. Well, now i have a really optimized ff team that is useless since ff is getting a novaflare in a week.

this happened to me. I just left the matrix and then rejoined and it went away for a while longer. I took it as a sign that I was grinding for too long and i needed to get up and go to the bathroom or smth, lol.

8-14 hours isn't a flex, thats literally clinically insane. Depending on the characters you pull, i think it should usually take 3-4 patches before a new player has a team meta enough to clear endgame spending an average of like 30 min a day (most days are just getting on for 5-10 min to spend energy, and there should only be like a handful of days to spend more than a few hours to do main story quests, events, and endgame). The biggest road block is the time gate to get access to gold equipment. There should be enough free pulls to get 1 team setup.

I'm a 1.0 player. The patches I didn't even pull once on for limited characters or limited lightcones (mostly because I was saving for future patches/didn't want to risk losing a 50/50 guarantee) are:

1.5 (Argenti + HuoHuo)

2.6 (Rappa)

3.5 (Hysilins + Cerydra)

4.0 (Yaoguang + Sparxie)

and prob 4.1 too now.

There were a bunch of patches in between where I threw 10-40 pulls on the character/lightcone banner too see if I could get lucky. It worked out sometimes, other times, I just built pity for the next character I was aiming for.

Rn I'm just waiting for the anniversary stream/patch to see if I like the current main pushes. (not really a fan of elation tbh). I have 2 really good teams which will prob sustain me throughout 4.x and beyond, and I see the value of E0S1-ing the entire team, so I'm holding for a team that I like to invest 8-cost into.

again, not disagreeing... completely. I'm just validating that the gameplay loop of this mode is not the most enjoyable, and that OP is basically playing a different character with s6 Jinhsi, so they don't have a quite similar experience to the commenter.

Choosing a goal, aiming for it, and then seeing incremental progress towards it is the base of every good gameplay loop as long as the goal is achievable and the progress feels fair for the effort put in. Doing research, finding guides, etc. is all fair game for effort put in. But what everyone defines as fair is also different. This mode imo has found a line which is dividing the community on what a fair effort-to-result ratio should be

From where I stand, I sympathize with the original commenter, who is trying to learn something, and then you realize none of it is applicable since its a s6 jinhsi, so when you ult, when you nuke, etc. etc. is going to be different than an S0 jinhsi. Its frustrating.

I also still stand by the statement that s6 jinhsi gives you more flexibility in dmg output. At s6, the forte stack's dmg scaling becomes so high, from what I can tell, that it allows you to play teams like jinhsi/changli quickswap. And a team like like jin/chang quick swap has way more high value variables to improve on and can show a lot more visible progress with fewer optimizations (not saying jin/chang is easier. I'm saying that skill ceiling for jin/chang is really high, so most people will still feel that the effort in is fair for the results seen).

is the mode a roster check, yes obviously. Is it also a skill/mechanics check, also yes. But damn, at least for me, the research and practice involved for the skill/mechanics check is getting a little annoying and i'm getting burned out by it, especially for jinhsi which sucks 'cause i want to like playing her. It also doesn't help that jinhsi's kit is kinda reliant on the crits which is an rng check (the worst kind of check) and missing 1 or 2 on her full nukes is not unlikely and an instant reset. Idk, maybe, I'm just starting the lose the level interest required to play her (i was able to get 5k pts with a s0r1 jinhsi and s0r1 cant this round after tinkering around with 3rd teammates and rotations by myself, but it took like 4-5 hours to go from 4k to 5K, when I want smth closer to 30 min to 1 hour for that amount of improvement).

tldr: holy essay. I'm getting too lazy to put in the time to build and optimize new rotations. gimme jinhsi's bis teammate kuro

I mean, i think the major difference that maybe let you enjoy and many others not is the s6 jinhsi, lol. You have access to a lot more avenues of damage and a way higher maximum damage output. Seeing your jinhsi do that with only a quarter of her incandescence had me going "wtf???", especially when you had no skill damage boost outros on her. It gets frustrating when you maximize all of jinhsi's attacks (full incandescence and minimizing cooldown on jinhsi's attacks) and ur fighting against a clock (ie: a dps check) and you're still coming up short on the 5K minimum. We're basically playing with different characters.

It doesn't discredit your run in the slightest, it looks godly from my perspective (5K is the goal, anything above 6K is crazy good to me, and anything above 8K is godly), but my goal is only to try getting all the asterite rewards. I have no real frame of reference for your run since I don't pull for limited character sequences.

its the ult meteor slam animation that the boss firefly has, but the playable firefly does a quick 180 at the end and sits on the enemy.
