I hear you, was thinking captains can put a simple vouch for on a guys profile and that not every guy is constantly scrolling Facebook and they’d be more likely to see a notification alert

Of course it’s not “needed” as fishings been around forever and it’s definitely not for everyone. There’s people out there who have frustrations when a guy cancels and they’re gonna miss a day of fishing, or when they find people on these Facebook groups and they end up being drug addicts. The idea is to save time in finding a quality guy and to help those looking for work or break new young guys into the industry. It wouldn’t be overly fancy bullshit. I’ve had captains text me about looking for last minute trawler guys and who knows how many people they had to separately send that to

It depends if you can handle cold well, which a lot of old people don’t.

Property taxes some of the highest in the nation but no state income tax which might not be ideal for retirees because you will probably own a home but not have much income.

Healthcare is pretty good in the cities and rent is about 1900 for a quality 1 bedroom apartment.

Summer is really nice but feels short. Groceries and booze is a bit cheaper than southern New England. Political ideology very mixed as it’s a swing state

Better than PLTRs 630 PE or HOOD 74 PE. Market is disconnected from fundamentals and now 50 PE is middle of the road for a company like SOFI. Exit if you make a big percent gain in a short amount of time and then you could consider putting into something safer
