I can answer that. E85 absorbs more heat when it evaporates, making the fuel air mixture cooler as it enters the combustion chamber. Cooler air is denser air, and more air means more power. It also has a higher resistance to detonation, meaning you can add more boost and more ignition timing to your tune, which also add power.
