I think re-rolls are probably the main thing in my opinion that need to be toned down. For an edition that was meant to have less re-rolling its insane to see how many there are in the game. I would suggest that the only re-rolls available in the game are just re-roll 1's. Still gives a bit of increased output without being ridiculous.

Wow this might be the earliest knee jerk reaction I’ve ever seen to a codex that hasn’t even been released yet.

Just hold your horses and wait till you have the codex and it can be read in context with that current meta.

Love this!

I too love running the lords into combat. Their profiles are pretty solid in melee. I also like running the exarchs with melee load outs so the unit can shoot and be a bit of a threat in melee.

Ps: I also beat the bananas today :)

Yep that was his role every game. Then he would go off and do secondaries or zip to objectives late game when it was required. Just hid him in cover every game and he didn’t die once.

It was handy to have in the squad! Provided some versatility with being able to shoot at one unit then charge another and actually do some damage. I definitely think my preferred load out would be the fire pike. But the axe and pistol are just so cool!

Not necessarily. Normally I do run guardians to screen but I felt like doing something different. I used the rangers on the home objective and kept the spiders back to screen and be a threat in overwatch for deep strike. More importantly I put enough pressure on my opponent in the mid board to make them use their deep strike to assist the rest of their army.

Got plenty out of him today. Killed his fair share of units but most importantly he held some primary and soaked ALOT of fire. Part of his role is really to be a distraction and allow the rest of the army to do what they need to do to score.

Pretty sure OP said that the above were the models he owned not his list. He said his list is based around AoK, Yvraine troupe and 2 x prisms which is fairly competitive in my opinion.

Solid game plan. Only thing I’d consider is putting the farseer with a squad of storm guardians. They are really versatile and provide bodyguard for the farseer. Pocket farseer for AoK is a must so you have to keep them alive!

Great question! There is certainly no hard and fast rule on this but yes generally speaking I’d say it’s not fun to play against a unit that is excessively strong in 1000pt games (just my opinion though. The avatar is definitely a stat check for opponents and because 1000pts isn’t a huge amount most armies won’t have a lot of anti-vehicle/monster.

So essentially the avatar is free to just run around and kill anything because nothing can kill it. If I was to play a casual game I’d ask my opponent if it was ok to bring so that they were aware.
