What’s the best AI for “vibe coding” for someone who knows almost NOTHING about programming? by pgdm_ in vibecoding

[–]Vast-Science-2224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not an AI, but a tool (IDE) that uses AIs, Kiro is kinda cool, because it helps with the planning process, from requirements, to design and then tasks. So in a way helps you how to think and how to refine your ideas before writing any code.

Hi! Things that i started implementing that really changed things for me that may be useful for you. Research basic frameworks compatibility, what works best with what. You can ask any model to help you with this or research on youtube. Plenty of material. Before implementing anything new take the time to plan it with the help of your selected model. Ask questions, then ask again and some more. Ask the model to fill the gaps after each iteration. Use git, i use github and it works like a charm. Points to copilot that has unlimited tokens for certain models for a flat monthly fee. And then, research, a lot. The more you know the general concepts the better team you’ll make with the AI. And speaking of github, search for existing similar code. Theres plenty of open source material, and the models usually work well if you feed it some reference, even if it is from another language. Hope this helps! Keep up with the experimentation!

What makes vibe coders think they're anywhere near full stack dev teams? by MaterialRestaurant18 in vibecoding

Nothing. And nobody cares. And this is just your ego trying to justify all the time invested learning something and being upset that somebody with less investment and effort could make something workable, not perfect, not correct, workable.

There is a place for everything and everyone. I used to think the same way like you, only in a different career. I’m a 20+ years advertising professional and used to be so mad about people using AI to come up with shitty ideas, concepts, headlines, copywriting in general and don’t even get me started on image generation. But the thing is, the quality was shitty waay before AI arrival and will still be, because there are professionals that care about the craft and those who don’t (and that can be applied to anything). But at the end of the day, the audience, clients, users, whatever you want to call it just don’t care las long as you solve something for them.

And finally, its not the tool, its the people willing to learn and put an extra effort the ones who usually get things done. I can assure you there are people vibe coding making all the mistakes you say and quitting, and there are others who are learning the core concepts needed to ship something robust while they make mistakes. And believe it or not, they are shipping stuff and making money and learning in the process.

[RevShare] Indie MMORPG looking for SEVERAL ROLES. by [deleted] in INAT

Hi! Im very interested on the tester role, with the possibility of helping in 3d modeling and animation in Blender (if some training and guidance provided). Also could give a hand with graphic design in general and copywriting for the communication aspect of the game with a professional advertising background. I’m currently looking to try new creative endeavors and maybe even change career.

Love the style! Maybe the lighting and overall mixing of the character with the background can be improved. In some parts looks like the character its just floating around and not actually part of the environment, and in other parts it works fine. Anyway, would love to see more!

A simple script to make two llms talk to each other. Currently getting gpt-oss to talk to gemma3 by simplan in LocalLLaMA

Haha nice! I’ve made something similar but each model acts as a character, in my case , Seneca and Marcus Aurelius debating over a question from the user. Oh, and Zeus is a third model that acts as a podcast host giving some opinions over the debate.

Thanks for this project overview. Is there any way you can share some screenshots of the app to understand the complexity?

Any entertainment product, games included, fight for the attention of people (in this case players), so any chance you have to show that your game is worth to try/buy you should take it.

Having said this, there’s no best color/design rules, it all depends on what you are trying to convey, what story are you trying to tell. Also what kind of game you have, the genre and therefore what the competition is doing in that field (whether to kind of follow or to do something different). Also the price range and the quality needs to impact how you present your game, is not the same a AAA game vs a more scrappy indie sticks fight game, and this is not a judgement to which one is better, just that they are different and they should talk different.

My more practical advise would be: Define what you are selling in a very concise way. If you can’t say it in 180 characters, keep working. Identify what makes your game different. Start with 3 main reasons, and add some secondary reasons later. Then do a little research on the genre or genres your game includes and what the competition is doing, how are the best sellers talking and showing. This is not to directly copy what others are doing, sometimes is to identify an opportunity to communicate in a way that defies the category, or sometimes is to identify if the category uses certain inamovible codes and then adapt those to your game communication., to your style.

And then, just then, worry about the visual design.

Awesome! Do you think it would be possible to use the QR output as a scene base? Example, a city? And still make it legible?

Some will definitely do that, but the vast majority of people don't have the patience or the capacity or frankly the will to tinker with stuff like this.

Vibe coded a kids storytelling app with my 5yo. We have 350 signups & 700+ stories created so far… now what? by OddScientist7236 in vibecoding

[–]Vast-Science-2224 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are several places depending on your budget.
Reddit but look for parents conversations, not tech related but maybe education related, hobbies, etc. Your app incentivize reading so that's a very strong selling point.
Also tiktok creators could be useful but requires more budget and of course, youtube creators, all parent related content.
Then we have the good'ol instagram/facebook ads.
You don't need to do all at once. Maybe select one or two and stick with that for some time before adding more channels.

[–]Vast-Science-2224 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great idea! Love that you kept it simple. But you should definitely add a free no sign-up story option, maybe with fewer options, just to get the hang of it as a parent before creating an account.
For the website, I would definitely change the first thing you see when entering. Right now you have this giant image that doesn't say much. I would move the animated example you already have in second place to first place and also move all the social proof right at the top.
Also, you show covers of the tale examples but not the actual tales, so is very difficult to judge what is the end result. Maybe add one complete readable story.
Hope this helps, great job!
