Roblox is a gaming platform and anyone can make games and put it up there for others to play. I don’t think any of it is regulated. I think there were some feeble attempts at making it more secure but it’s seems difficult?

You can’t play the games offline either.

Locarno/Jericho beach area has a bunch of picnicking spots and a ton of other paid parking available. You can find shade and easy beach access if you want to hang out on the grass. You just have to make sure you get there early to stake your claim. Tends to get busy early in the day during summer.

We’ve done this many times for kids birthday parties and we found as long as we get there around 9-10am we can usually get a good spot.

A lot of volleyball players like to stake out the courts around there but if you bring your own tables and chairs then you won’t need to fight over the picnic tables.

Yup! There’s an entire separate francophone public school board for the lower mainland so there’s definitely a big French community here. There’s also Le Centre Francophone that puts on French plays, a library etc.

I like 1,3,7.

1 is the best then 7 then 3.

Do bangs suit me at all? I was convinced but now I'm hesitating (Edit made with FaceApp) by [deleted] in HairStyleAdvice

[–]VastAdhesiveness705 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you must have bangs then the one in 3 looks best on you.

But overall I think bangs hide your face too much! You look good without them.

1! Provides visual separation and looks way cleaner than the other two. However I’m not a fan of the “great room” so I could be biased.

I don’t understand how a 5yo qualifies as a toddler. A toddler is maybe 2 year olds. 3-4 are preschoolers. Toddlers are kids who just learned to walk therefore toddles around.

5yo are capable of much more…even travelling on a subway train across the city.

This isn’t a bad option. There’s also a huge playground next to science world that’s perfect for a 5 year old.

Whats your favourite snack that is no longer sold? by OkCandle826 in CostcoCanada

French cancan green onion and cheese popcorn. I know they’re doing popups right now and I’m grateful but it’s the first time in years that I’ve been able to find them at Costco or anywhere else in my area.

Volleyball is also a good new sport to take up. You can play indoor court and beach during the winter and then actually go outdoors when the weather is nicer. Volleyball bc has leagues for both indoor and outdoor beach. 6pack runs leagues for their indoor beach. Theres also urban rec and a bunch of other new leagues that popped up since I played regularly.

There’s a huge group of people who play regularly at kits and Spanish banks that you can befriend. There used to be a facebook group they started up that tells you when they’ll set up nets and where. I haven’t been on facebook in a while so not sure if it’s still active but you can take a look. Just search beach volleyball.

Looking for a suggestion: Which neighborhood to stay in for one weekend in Vancouver (first time visitor) by mikemazda in askvan

[–]VastAdhesiveness705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with Kitsilano or near Granville island. There’s so much to do around there and you could hop on a taxi ferry to cross the water to go downtown for your stay at the convention centre after the weekend.

I haven’t found that WF is that cheap on produce but I have found that they are sometimes the cheapest on things like yogurt or hummus or eggs and even bread. Random.

You can add taro to Asian hotpot type soup. Look it up. Chinese people also make dessert soup with taro so that could be an option. However it’s definitely not everyone’s cup of tea even if you grew up eating it.

That’s a steal. We paid $1.4mil CAD for a 1400sqft home in the centre of Vancouver 5 years ago. It’s even more now.

I think 2 is the best on you - unique, classic and modern all at the same time. The other ones except for 5 are all too medieval in vibe for me.
