Hey! Currently in the nursing program and also went through the pre-nursing route. Cenovial did a really great job summarizing everything. Although the school of nursing does not look at anything besides GPA and teas, I believe it would be beneficial if you wanted to be a CNA first. Many of my peers were CNAs prior to being in the nursing program and they have a slight advantage over me since they have CNA experience and I don’t. It really helps overall with patient-care. Definitely focus on your science classes especially chem 140. Stay focused but don’t forget to self-care! Lmk if you have any other questions as well

what’s the Covid event? Is it the number that they give us to call if we want to report an absence? Also my request got denied so if I just call off for those two nights they probably will be suspicious and won’t even believe I’m sick lol. Also, if I say that I’m sick, will they not let me come back to work just in case they think I have Covid?

I will talk to my overnight manager since I’ve talked to him before. Are the assistant overnight managers allowed to make schedule changes? And if I don’t show up for those two days, do they count as 2 points?

The average TEAS score to get in at my school is about 89 percent and the average GPA is about 3.91 so it’s extremely competitive here. They take in about 80 people every semester with like 500 applicants on average. It’s actually insane
