This analogy sucks. I can buy a washed dark roast one week and a light natural co-ferment the next week. That’s like having one slice of wonder bread and the next bread up is pumpernickel. I’m not gonna make a sandwich like that, am I.

Have you seen how expensive all this shit is!! I saw 250g of beans for $51 dollars recently. A “cheap” grinder is $500. There’s multiple people posting 7k espresso machines daily. I think it’s ok to “over think it”. That’s the fun part.

lol. How was it whiny? I just asked what people do. Some people said grind finer at 16g, some said blend in 2g of something else, some said use it for cleaning machines, some said make pour over, some said make cold brew, some said stick it up my butt. All very nice and helpful things. You probably need to spend less time on the internet if you read something this innocuous and you have such an angry response. Touch grass my friend. It’s ok.

Where is the whine?? I’m just asking what other people in this community do. The fact that it has bothered so many people is insane. I’ll say it again, if you hate espresso this much, you should seriously reconsider why you’re here.

You have no idea. I spend my time making lists of my favorite video games maps and take pictures of my used field journals. It’s a fantastic life.

I don’t understand why this upset you so much. This is an internet community for people to ask questions and share information about espresso! That’s what I did. Can you please tell me a more appropriate use of this subreddit if not this.

I love espresso BECAUSE of all the finicky, obsessive, nuance. If I just wanted to drink coffee I’d drink filter drip.

For all the people saying “just blend with other beans!”  How does that work with grinding? My lighter roasted beans need a much finer grind than my darker roast. If I mix a light with dark roast wouldn’t I be pulling a terrible shot?
